Hi @micahw-r8n Duplicating issues effortlessly is the purpose of the Template feature. ;) As show in the video, this feature helps you to create the same Test Case multiple times for different versions. That would make sense, if you consider if the tests are mostly the same for each version released. To avoid duplicates in a sense where every issue has the same name, you can replace “$<Any string>$” in the template's issue summary with the wording of your choice. You can find out more details at docs.ricksoft-inc.com/wbs-gantt-chart-for-jira-cloud/managing-an-issue-template or contacting our support team at ricksoft-support.atlassian.net/servicedesk We will be happy to help!

How do you connect Excel-like macro to dynamic data from a Jira query?
@RicksoftInc Жыл бұрын
It is currently impossible to get dynamic data from Jira to use it in Excel-like Tables for Confluence macro. It is, however, in our roadmap to integrate with Jira. I'm not sure if this can answer to your question. Alternatively, you can try Excel-like tables for Jira to get dynamic data from Jira fields. You can create a Jira field mapping and then create charts and reports using those data. You can try it here: marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1223727/excel-like-tables-for-jira-sheet-import-export?hosting=cloud&tab=overview

I want to do overall Project Planning with Gantt Chart, all issues has planned start/end date. To implement the project, I run Scrum sprint and move issues between sprints, each issue will have actual start/end date. Then I want to see how these issues actually run in sprints compared with planned start/end date. Can we do that with WBS Gantt Chart?

Hi Thuy, WBS Gantt-Chart will help in this case. You can use Baseline to manage the origin plan. When you update the actual plan, no effect to origin plan (Baseline). If there is a overallocated resource, MS Project, will automatically reschedule the tasks so that no resource is above 100% of utilization. Why do I have to do resource leveling manually? Is the demo using the current version? It doesn't look like.
@RicksoftInc2 жыл бұрын
For WBS Gantt-Chart, we allow our users to resource level manually because our users have many ways to task plan so it's quite difficult to have the feature that fits all. WBS Gantt-Chart does not support automatic task planning now. While this demo is for version 9.2, our current version is 9.14 so it is a bit different. We will take your feedback into consideration.

Hi Xavier, for the timestamp that you are referring to, that is our auto-correct schedule feature which is different from resource leveling. Hi there! Great video- thank you for putting it together. It seems your tool may be better than what we are currently using but the video left me with a few questions: We are currently using "Big Gantt" for our business and, while it's better than using the roadmap feature in Jira alone, it doesn't seem to have some of the key features that we found valuable in MS Project. Does your tool: 1. Allow you to set the work efficiency of each of the resources? (i.e. Bob and Mary attend several internal initiatives and are only available 5-6hrs each work day for individual contribution to a project, so they are set at 80% work efficiency...) 2. Take into account the loading for a given resource if he/she is assigned across multiple projects? (If Bob and Mary are assigned to 3 projects, does the tool understand that Bob and Mary can't have the same 5-6hrs each day assigned to all 3 of the projects.) 3. Allow bottoms-up schedule building, whereby each individual contributor provides an estimate of the time needed for their portion of the project and the project manager inserts this into an overall schedule? Finally, do you offer training for using your tool or know of a 3rd party provider who could help walk us through how the tool is used best within the Jira ecosystem (issue tracking, task assignment, etc.)? Thanks for your help and look forward to your response!

Hello, thanks for this informative video! Do you know if there is a feature to visualise the difference between the predicted time for a task and how long the task actually took to complete? For example, the allocated time could be visualised with a rectangle, and the extra time could be visualised with a rectangle made up of dashed lines? That way, we can immediately see any mismatch between expectation and reality. Do you know if such a feature exists that is built into JIRA and can be added on? Thanks!

@@RicksoftInc Thank you so much for the reply! We use projects a little differently within JIRA. In a way, we use projects to represent the various departments, rather than a finite project. Hi, in this video (at 0:52) you are showing how to use "Percent Done". If you have linked tasks and added dependencies (arrows to next), it should indicate that next task cannot start before previous has been completed. Yet you change the %. It shows either bad planning or lack of priority to complete primary tasks.

@NeVraXGoesPro6 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your answer, but the documentation did not helped me much. On our projects, what's important are the fields Estimaded/Remaining/Logged, and I did not find how to reflect this data automatically in WBS Gantt. If I have to do it manually once my team has entered their fields on the board, the integration is pretty useless. Do you have a solution for me ?
@RicksoftInc6 жыл бұрын
As in the document, you can choose "Calculate with time tracking automatically" option for the progress rate (percent done). Then, WBS Gantt-Chart automatically calculates progress rate based on the "original estimate" and the "time remaining estimate." The equation is as follows: (Original Estimate - Remaining Estimate) / Original Estimate * 100 Other than that, I am afraid you can do not much with those values. Feel free contacting our support to share your situation in detail if needed. www.ricksoft-inc.com/support Thanks!
