hi, thank you. yes, it's just the boss cube street2 battery powered amp doing it all. altho, it works way better when routed thru a PA system ! i usually use a Bose L1 system. the guitar channel is decent & with a splitter cable i can add another mic ! this has the built in harmonizer which works well...most of the time. i got it for our beach tai chi parties & the other musicians also have battery powered amps. i normally use a full midi system for bigger gigs. the harmonies are on a dedicated track & are perfect each time. with double clicking the boss system there may be some errors or weird harmonies...overall, a very good rig. mp3 & wav backing tracks are played on my sam sung phone

Excellent! Love the “hollow body” sound of the ukulele (Baritone?). As a professional sound engineer I can’t help yearning for just a touch of 50s slap echo on the vocal;-)
@rocker021510 ай бұрын
hey chris...thanx. I have been using the boss cube street2 battery amp for these quick little videos for my uke students. it has a vocal harmonizer which is pretty cool too ! the guitar channel has delay + reverb...I guess I could try switching them sometime. I'm working on a hawaiian album with some of my favorite tunes I learned when I moved to hawai'i in '75. the uke is my trusty kamoa tenor with built-in preamp. take care now oh, I know you're a Steve Martin fan & I worked up an arrangement, starting with Dr uke's version of...'fit as a fiddle' for my students. great video with Gregory Hines on youtoob

For a long time this was my happy place song from the age of 22-24 which was about 14 years ago now... I'd just close my eyes and dream about my imaginary life in Hawaii and used to listen to this every single day for at least a couple of years...but i still listen to it occasionally now.

thank you very much for your compliment ! andy iona's 'sand' & 'how'd ya do' are the reason i started playing steel guitar. i was a student of jerry byrd's back in '79 in honolulu. i don't have very many songs that i can play but these are the quintessential steel guitar standards... thanx again. aloha🤙😎

thanx bill. that photo was taken outside on a hill behind Campolindo h.s. after we won the 1st round of the KFRC battle of the bands in the spring of '67. for anyone who might be wondering what he's referring to : the picture opposite the Beatles poster was our h.s. band, R.C.'s Bottling Co. from Orinda, CA. we had a Royal Crown Cola logo on the bass drum head with the band name...too bad you can't post pics here !

Very nice! I need to pick up a steel and start learning. Already played guitar since 1987...grandmother used to teach lap steel long before my time, unfortunately, she never taught us kids how to play...probably because we were too busy being kids. We had a white pearloid lap around the house growing up that stood on four steel bars. Maybe she was trying to get us interested...but we never caught on back then, oh well.
