So you cath every 4 hours do you stop drinking 2 hours before you go to bed? Or you do you cath at 12am also

Since I don't get the botox injection in my bladder anymore I cath every 2-2 1/2hrs & during the night I wear an overnight man diaper & if I happen to wake up in the middle of the night I'll cath, if I don't wake up then I sleep through the night

I just found you! My son was shot in may and is t10 complete. You have given so much info and I’m so appreciative. Right now he is still dealing with the situation in his mind but hopefully your videos will help him. Thank you. Keep it up!

I never heard of that place! I’m in Atlanta too, so I’m going to contact them. I thought Shepherds was the only place here that specializes in SCI

Hey fellow wheelers! This is a subject off topic…. But maybe you can help, how to get family to understand your not a vegetable… like doing dishes, vacuuming the floor, mopping the floor.. Plain ass house work even cooking We CAN STILL DO!! My feet never did those things before.. Its my hands that did and they fortunately still work! Am I the only one that is actually getting insulted by the words YOU CANT DO THAT…? Some of you wheelers live alone and manage just fine! I'm judged if I do drop something… however I still clean up after myself! Am I wrong for wanting to now be alone? It causes fights and agreements and frankly I'm tired. Even if I miss a step during a transfer… I still can hold myself up… if I need help, I know how to say HELP! Does anyone out there feel what I'm saying? Ree does everything too! Maybe Devon you can help me out here, what can I do? They think we should just stay in bed throughout the rest of existence?

I'm sure all of us have experienced people making it seem like we're helpless & can't do everyday tasks or being out in public & people overexert themselves trying to help. I usually just let them know I'm good when they offer & keep it pushin👨🏽‍🦽👨🏽‍🦽🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️Thank u for always interacting on my videos Ree, I really appreciate it.

I'm so glad I have a mitrofanoff and speedicath compact set… I can use the bathroom right where I sit. Just like you I have amazing upper body strength but dam the transfers suck in small spaces ,so this really made it easy for me to stay put and pee where I'm at! And it's discrete.. nobody has a clue what you're doing! And I agree with you my worst transfer was to a bathroom toilet.. except mine was in a hospital! They forget all about us wheelers Devon when building things. PS: it's really good seeing you

Thats why I'm soooo thankful for my Mitrofanoff because I don't have to go to a restroom just cath in my seat using a SpeediCath Compact Set… cause we are always forgotten as wheelers! I like you have amazing upper body strength, but it's hard for us...can you imagine someone who can't use upper body? Yet still my hardest transfer also was onto a toilet and believe it or not it was in the hospital bathroom! I tell you that mitrofanoff is King!

@@reeburks4377 my hands work well but when use a speedcath it drips everywhere. It's clumsy for me. I use the self contained with the tube inside the bag. Thanks for sharing!

The bed transfer I'm doing is irritating my hip I was just thinking about the problem before I saw this post. My hardest was transferring to the standing frame but I have mastered that one.

@@jamesortiz5388 no problem… yea the leaking sucks… so I have to keep a wet wipe below the site to block the drainage. I voiced that issue to speedycath directly too. If I hear anything back.. I'll be sure to share!

I would do the stem cell transplant. I pay for the storage of my little cousins cord tissue and blood, hopefully I will be able to use it one day
