14 phases? Wow. You will get it soon!!! Keep going, use multiple systems if you can and use the double grass :) I’ve just started this hunt a couple days ago and im at 1,253 encounters with nothing shiny yet. I’ve personally had a year long drought with on again off again egg hunts. I’m not giving up and neither should you! Good luck :)

I got mine on black 2 after 11833 encounters and 200 hours but this must've taken longer, isn't the first Black and White starter reset time longer?

This last week I’ve managed to get a shiny Electrode, Dratini and ho oh, adding them all up it took only 1500 attempts (1000 for the dratini) so I think I’ll try my luck in getting my favourite shiny of all time, I have no idea how the safari works so I’m very scared

Female starters can’t be shiny that may help, if you go into the name your Pokémon screen you can check the gender.
