Alan and Mimi are like Johnny and June if Johnny had more than a one octave range. 😊

I am addicted to the beauty of Mimi’s voice. Glorious.

Simply put, regardless of what you believe in particular, this is about the thing that brings you to unity through forgiveness and ultimately - love. You’re not trying as hard as you need to.

Such a beautiful song. Mimi’s harmonies are beyond compare. She died of ovarian cancer. I have spent much of my life in cancer research. We’re getting better. But, damn I wish we could have been in time to save this beautiful voice. My sympathies Alan.

This album really helped me get through some tough times when I went on a spacewalk without a tether and then my space capsule got destroyed and I was adrift in space in just my spacesuit for a while

The KINGS of shoe gaze. 🔥🔥

I wouldn't call them a shoegaze band, not enough guitars and distortion for that. The were a big part of pioneering the slowcore genre though. MBV will forever be the shoegaze kings.

By the end of their first song that night, I was sobbing. Short, but so powerful and beautiful, stark, but soothing. A sublime experience. Then the guy behind me says "hey buddy, chill. They're just tuning up." - A Low joke

Low music helped me feel through previous loss but also primed me for future loss. It just sounds so much like what losses I experienced younger and then all the more adult losses /deaths or impending deaths I have known as an older person at this point. I am really grateful to an old friend for introducing me to Low in my 20’s. It never becomes irrelevant , even almost 20 years later.

I wish Cue the Strings comments weren’t turned off . That song always is a friend when I hear someone’s died , or was there for the death, or they were told they are going to die soon possibly , or I worry about the future in general in terms of loss of life.
