Lullaby For a Fallen Star review: Opens with a beautiful and melancholy piano, which continues throughout the entire song. The moment where the strings come in is absolutely gorgeous. Overall, a beautiful original piece, can't find anything wrong with it. 10/10.

THE WORLD REVOLVING AROUND A [[BIG SHOT]] Review. Not quite sure what the instrument used here is, it kinda sounds like a marimba, which would be a rather unusual choice, but is probably some variety of synth. This song makes excellent use of both of it's sources- I find that some aspects of both songs are lost in the transition to this new instrument, as well as in the melding, but this is by no means deal-breaker, as I find that the result can stand on it's own against it's predecessors. What it does right: good beatswapping/mixing. Good sound quality. Retains high energy of originals. What it gets wrong: feels like pieces of each song are missing. A good Mashup should have each song feel like it was made to be that way. A great example of this is DJ Cummerbund. I'd recommend listening to Basketflies and it's about the damn end- see if you can pick up on those principals. Also loses a bit of the bounce of TWR, and the desperation of BIG SHOT. Overall, a *very* stylish song with some flaws. 7/10, still going in the Playlist.

I agree with you that its not my best, haha! I used a Deltarune soundfont, but when i applied it to my musescore file, everything got jumbled up and I struggled for the longest time to fix it, which probably is why it sounds kind of weird. Thanks, though! I’m a beginner when it comes to arranging and writing music in general, so I will try to keep these things in mind!

NIX Review: Opens strong with a high energy piano- keeps a similar energy throughout. Pleasing, very invigorating. The break halfway through with the crescendos scratch an itch, as well as the melody switch in the last quarter. This song reminds me heavily of Advanced Phylangealkinetics, one of my favorite tracks from Shadows Over Loathing, although I am unsure if the resemblance was intentional. Overall, 10/10, keep up the incredible work. P.S: I'd love to see some West/Shadows Over Loathing soundtracks from you, they both have a KILLER soundtrack with a lot of intricate details that fly under most people's radar because the games are obscure. Toby Fox game covers in your style would be wonderful, also. Keep up the great work, gonna try to review every track you make!

Thanks for the review! No worries! This was mostly inspired by Night of Nights/Flowering Night (which I feel like the intro it might be too close to it if I’m honest) I’m not sure if I’ll be doing anymore Deltarune/Undertale stuff anytime soon, as I’m working on something that needs an entire original soundtrack. (Also I work VERY slowly…trying to get better at that, haha) I’ll for sure check out Shadow over Loathing!

@@BetaJams ah, didn't know about the Undertale/Deltarune situation!! Listening to it with TouHou in mind, I can definitely hear some resemblance- it's subtle, but there if you know what you're looking for- i like it!! Night of Nights is my favorite TouHou song, too, so it's bonus points, lmao. The top three shadows over loathing songs I can recommend are Advanced Phylangealkinetics, Noelle's Theme (shares a surprising amount with deltarune Noelle- I know the devs played undertale, and I genuinely suspect they might have based this Noelle off Noelle Holliday), and the Hobo Camp/ Jazz Agent battle music. It's all different ends of the SoL musical spectrum!

Are you using Windows 10? If so, I would like to know how you downloaded the MuseScore Hub. Every time I open it, it shows it's loading then it closes and nothing happens.

I am, but I’m really sorry to say I’m not sure :( it auto-downloaded when I installed ms4. I can only get to the hub through my start menu and i havent been able to find where exactly it installed to. If I figure it out, I’ll get back to you!

This is really cool! I just got finished with a similar video and it's interesting to see how similar our decisions were. I wish I had thought of just having Eggman's gun's shadows submerge sonic like you did. Great job!
