Having a family doctor often doesn’t help. What really matters is shortage of surgeons, because in many cases person can’t receive nesessary surgical procedures or forced to wait for many months or even years in line. Needless to say that some of them die before entering a medical institution for surgery. That’s a shame!

I was Misdiagnosed as delusional because i told them i have an infection and im bedridden without taking antibiotics.....turns out i have tuberculosis and am on treatment now

I wish there was a way that we could cause a referendum and us people of BC could vote on allowing all the medical staff which were asked to quit (or get fired) for not being vaxed. Being vaccinated does not help you if you get covid because you can still transmit it. We need them to remove it and allow them all back

Emergency rooms are closed in Vancouver area as well. But I think it’s kept quiet! Eagle Ridge hospital in Port Moody has closed in the past. They divert to other hospitals.

We have been having ER closures in Prince Rupert too. Our pregnant women are on edge because it is unclear if maternity coverage will be consistently available.

Fire Bonnie Henry and hire back the doctor and nurse heroes she got rid of.

People in our Province of BC, should be outraged with the NDP government, Dr Bonnie, Minister Dix's for refusing to bring back unvaxx'd healthcare workers. It's shameful and they should be held accountable for adding to what was already a healthcare crisis. The City of Merritt MUST keep their ER open, they are in the center of three major highways! I personally know of 2 Code Orange situations with Bus accidents, where Merritt was a vital component of supporting the victims of these crashes. My hope it that people get out and Vote this government Out this fall.

Thank you for doing this. It’s probably 25 years too late so you have a huge job ahead of you. I remember clearly being liked to, to my face, by Colin Hansen years ago. He tried to tell me that there was no way I could have paid to see a specialist in BC because it was impossible and unnecessary to pay here. Well he wasn’t the one who couldn’t walk and was in pain and told he’d have to wait 2 years to talk to a specialist and 2+ years for surgery after that. I offered to show him the receipt because I did in fact pay about 500. to talk to someone. i avoided the 2 year wait to talk, but could not avoid the surgery wait time. 7 weeks after being told i would have that 2+ year wait for surgery I was on a surgery bed in Europe and was walking, skating and dancing without aid 6 weeks after that. The universal health care fallacy has been going on years, but each and every government refuses to see it or admit it and so here we are today with not enough doctors and wait times that are still unacceptable and now it’s almost impossible to pay to see someone. They have even taken that away from us. Ironically you can pay and go to Quebec or Alberta!!! Dr. McLeod is a voice in the wilderness but I sure hope people are listening because unless the government stops thinking they know best our situation is going to get way worse.

If the access to doctors is sufficiently restricted, consumers will rely on AI which plays directly into the success of US owned providers. This is a result of Canada failing to strategize AI and invest heavily in this field and work with doctors to recognize this shift.

Thank you Dr. Mcleod for voicing out the urgency in bringing actions to the BC health care system. The politicians need to address this.

Why the ever loving f*ck are their licenced FPs allowed to hold that license and not work in Family Medicine? Even if 1/3 aren’t working full time is 100% too much.
