I noticed that you don't even need to rename zip to drfx. I had both formats as a backup and now I have the effect twice too

this method didnt work for me, i have a transitions bundle and when i convert it to a .drfx it doesnt appear in davinci, and when i click on the .drfx file to install it, it says "Unable to install, the selected path does not seem a valid template bundle format". Any help would be appreciated!

Interesting, did you create the zip with absolute paths? Try renaming the drfx to zip and view the contents, does that work?

@@Graphicalfinity yes, i just renamed the drfx to .zip back to see the contents and everything seems fine inside, but then it doesnt work again. Any ideas? Or atleast when is davinci finally going to release the fix?

How to move an item in 1cm or a specific measurement?

You can use the transform panel for precise movements, eg. on the x value you can use +1cm to move the object 1 cm to the right, or you can enter the specific value. Hope this helps.

I just discovered this yesterday and was almost embarrassed that I didn’t think of it. YOU MUST “INSTALL” THE FONTS RECOMMENDED BY THE CREATOR. Otherwise, it’ll crash your computer because DaVinci cannot find the fonts for it and no effects used for the title will work either. Once you install the font, you can change it and use whatever font you want.

Thank you for sharing.. when you install packs, it definitely is advisable to install the recommended fonts. I personally, did not have resolve crashing because the font was not installed, but the preview etc will not work correctly.

To duplicate a layer, press and hold on the screen, this will open up context menu with duplicate. For move, you can use the transform panel (the third button from the bottom on the right, i think), make sure you have the move/select tool enabled, now you can enter/change the positions (move), rotation, dimentions etc... Hope this helps.

Thank you so much for bringing this up. I tried everything to fix this issue and some other issues related to titles. In some titles, I can't see any settings on the edit page. Now I have gone back to 19.1.1 to fix this. I'm using a Mac.

Thanks for this. I ran into the same issue during a project yesterday and I thought it was caused by old 3rd party transitions, so I deleted them all. It seemed to work but now I'm not sure that was the fix.

This is because you’re on a windows machine… This is 2025 how can anybody use a Windows machine when there are Macs in the world. Macs are so incredibly superior to window machines. Also this problem does not occur on my Mac.

No, that's not correct. I have a Mac Book Pro M3 and I do have similar issues. I had to go back to 19.1.1 to get my simple custom titles to work as usual. So, it's not working on all Macs.

This version is trash. Constant crashing and NOT RESPONDING and closing lol . With little clips loaded in timeline. Changed overnight. Now all my footage frame drops like a old machine. I'm on ryzen 9 5950x nvidia 4070oc 64gram@3200.

By the way, in version 2 of AP, clipping groups can now be adjusted (so in theory no need for the erase blend mode.. which was a workaround for v1)
