Actually, I'm not wrong. A beadlock has zero to do with the "amount of material" covering the wheel. A beadlock using clamping force to hold the tire bead between the wheel and the outer ring. This clamping force is what secures the tire to the wheel.

What? This guy doesnt seem to understand what a beadlock wheel does.
@GetYourselfANewMap8 күн бұрын
@@jspuhler66 I know exactly what a headlock wheel does. It minimizes the chances of a tire coming off a rim under hard impacts on trails. I’ve owned many beadlock wheels in my lifetime. If you disagree with this explanation of beadlock wheels, I’m sorry but you’re just wrong

My company car is a 2023 Escape Active 1.5. Shows excessive coolant temps and check engine light on acceleration with only 17,000 mi. Dealer recently had it for 3 days to clear the code and do a coolant flush per SSM 52219. First day back on the road and I can make it replicate the DTCs on command by simply accelerating onto the freeway. Very disappointed with this engine so far. Seems like there are quite a few other owners with similar complaints by what I read online.

Ha I came to the comments to post about this!! My company car same model and trim as yours. This happened to me as well at 880 miles! Car went into limp mode and I eventually got it home. Had it towed and Ford had to replace the cylinder head. How does ford not find these issues during testing? I will say the car is pleasant to drive and has good driving manners. Hopefully the replacement head lasts a long time. 😢
@jtsharp30004 ай бұрын
@@dirf554 just to follow up. My Escape did it again today. Two on-ramps in five minutes put it back into limp mode. Once I limped to a safe parking lot, I called the nearest Ford dealer. The service advisor told me he has four 1.5L EB cars waiting two months for backorder long blocks due to this issue. It’s a shame. The car drives nice and makes decent power when it’s working.

Ok I just traded in my 2021 Edge St for an identical 2024 Edge St. There is minimal difference. No more rear camera washer, securecode keyless entry, glovebox light and the passenger seat are now 6 ways adjustable (instead of 10 way). Other than that, identical. Trivial

I have tested both 3.5 eco boost and 5.0 engines. same truck, same set up, same trailer, same route multiple times and outcome has always been 5.0 V8 at least 2 miles a gallon better towing. I have had 2 F150s both 3.5 eco boost and never had any problems. the key to keeping the 3.5 running long and strong is proper maintenance. Old coworker has a 1st gen 3.5 ecoboost with over 350 thousand miles same turbos only changed the chain twice.

The lariat is nice the only thing take keeps me from getting one is the shifter in the counsel. I hate that. I would rather just stay with the XLT and have my counsel with the shifter on the column!! Best of both worlds that way. And I just leather my seats and makes it close enough to a lariat to me.
