For your interior design gig have you considered shopping Katamanso??? I am an unrepentant and unapologetic vintage and thrift shopper and that is how I was able to furnish my properties in Ghana. I hear Katamanso has the equivalent of furniture and other home goods, with some elbow grease…..a great carpenter and seamstress that are plenty in Ghana you can score some amazing finds.

Hi Dela, I am one of your silent subscribers, I never comment however, I am giving you some advice. whenever you get a nasty negative comment, please leave it in the background where it belongs & don’t breath life into it & give it airtime on your channel. You are a beautiful multitalented woman & a mother making something of yourself & a honest living. There was a time in the past where ( I’m going to be brutally honest) you were looking gaunt & thin & I knew something was up. You knew you had the ability to achieve & be successful for you & the family but it was all being stifled & stunted. All I will say is… fly girl fly. The sky is the limit. I’ve been through similar, you come out stronger It’s called survival. Most of all you find you again. I found me & oh what a feeling.

I stayed 7 years too long. When I first told my mother I just couldn’t stay any longer, she said “but he doesn’t beat you”. So I stayed told myself when my mother is no longer here then I would leave, I did not want to disappoint her (you know don’t embarrass her in front of family and friends). Once I realised I was wishing my mother dead. I made the decision to leave it took another 2 years. It’s been 13 years now, myself and my boys couldn’t be happier. At almost 60 I’ve realised I made a lot of my decisions to please others, I don’t do that anymore. Best wishes to you Dela, take one day at a time.

So glad you finally chose yourself 🎉 In Jamaica there is a saying ‘ half a father is better than none!’ Meaning that even though the man is bad, because he’s the father of the child/children, just stick it out. I was brought up with that mentality, and suffered a lot of abuse and violence, i was even stabbed, but still, that ingrained mentality made me feel, that, if i didn’t have the father of my children around, people would look down on them and me. All you parents, relatives and friends who are guilt tripping your loved one to stay in abusive, violent relationships, stop it ✋🏾 The blood be on your hands if they are unalived. WHO FEELS IT KNOWS IT!
