See I’ve done both palm rolling and interlocking and idk which one to stay with.. palm rolling ALWAYS unravel bcuz sweat a lot which defeats the purpose of it, interlocking it last longer and looks neat but it thins out my roots so I’m stuck 😅
@SoFineee19 күн бұрын
Yeah I see your point. Honestly I say pick one and stick to it because then looking down the shaft of your locs it might get s a little weak if you keep going back and forth between the 2. I personally prefer palm rolling.

Keeping your scalp clean and washing your hair at least bi-weekly is optimal for healthy. No one wants to smell dirty locs. Also, braid any loose hairs around locs to prevent breakage and thicken roots.

I keep hearing too many two strands twists will make your locs have a dent. Do you think always doing two strands damage your locs? I love a good braid/twist out
@SoFineee4 ай бұрын
I feel like you can still do the style it’s about how long you keep it in. For example if you retwist and do the 2 strand twist and leave it in for a month, wash and redo it again. Doing it too often will cause thinning. However, if you do it and leave it in for like a week. It won’t be the same effect, there won’t be as much damage.
@daherbalgoddess7774 ай бұрын
Great info... Yes, it does matter whatever way you first retwist your hair you continue to twist in that same direction. If, not it will cause your hair to thin over time 💚 How often inbetween the 8 weeks do you shampoo? I've tried to go a full 2 or 3 months...l can't. Really you have to listen to your hair and body it tells you what's needed 💚

I spend the entire 8 weeks without washing. I know for some it may be hard but yes, I agree, your hair will tell you exactly what it wants. Thank you for watching 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽

You can wash your locs while their in rope twists... just focus more on gently massaging your scalp and squeeze the run down through your locs. Make sure you rinse until the water runs clear. Use a light oil afterwards if you want. 💁🏾♀️

Do you think for 4c+ hair comb coils or 2 strand twist would be best. My hair is very thick and locks by itself, then I have to cut it off. It seems that’s what my hair wants to . Your videos are very helpful more so than most. Thanks

@SoFineee5 ай бұрын
@lillegalastrology7426 I waited about one month before washing my hair. I used a wig cap over my hair to minimize the unraveling. It helped a lot. Good luck! Send me pictures on my IG if you have @ Sofineee___ (it’s 3 underscores)

@SoFineee6 ай бұрын
I spray about twice a week. It all depends on how dry ur hair may feel. In the summer time I usually spray every morning before going out just because I know the sun could be drying to my hair as well.

@SoFineee6 ай бұрын
Yeah lint is really the devil, just try to keep them up and out of the way as much as possible. I also started brushing mine as well. It helps to get the lint that’s on the surface of my locs before they get deeper

@@SoFineee Thank you for the advice as far as brushing which type of brush would you recommend soft or hard brush? I’m thinking about trying that out once I buy a brush.

@MelloneeKecia I have a soft brush, you don’t want to use a hard brush cuz then it could snag on ur strands and could make them weak and or cause breakage. Just a light brushing would help to get the little fuzzies out
