We like it quite a bit. There are so many different strategies you can play in this game and none looks much stronger than the others.

Great review, I bought the game and I like mechanics of it, but the production value is low, the cards are the most flimsy I ever seen. also there was opportunity to make cheerful art on the cards, but they look dark and bit gloomy, box itself is on a cheaper side and none of the components feel good. I would prefer to pay extra and have better production value.

Freut mich, dass dir die Erklärung gefallen hat. Zum Ruhestapel: dazu gibt es gewisse Karten, die dich andere Karten auf den Ruhestapel legen lassen. Zum Beispiel kannst du mit einer Karte andere Karten vom der Bank wegnehmen, um auf der Bank Platz zu schaffen. Diese Karten gehen dann auf den Ruhestapel. Und ja, auf die Bank könnten im Prinzip unendlich viele Karten, solange es nur 6 unterschiedliche sind, da du ja immer alle gleichen Karten aufeinander legst.

Great video. Still 2 remarks: 13:15 "This is it about the orders." Not complete. 13:55 After placing thep roper amount of animals on a shelter "you now have to do a bonus action ... to place a specified cheese on a specified platter .. no worker needed." Yep, that's all right. But you forgot to tell that you then also can fulfill an order card. Fulfilling an order card is NOT tied to placing a worker, you may fulfill an order after placing a cheese token (see rulebook, page 11, Clarifications). Also you repeatedly said like "each turn you place 2 workers". But if you place 2 workers in your first turn to say, gain 3 resources and make a cheese on a gold platter, then the next turn you have only 1 worker. This is explained in the Hints section.

Thanks for the feedback. You are right about all those things. I added a comment in that section with the bonus cheese token. And yes, I also agree that sometimes a player will only have one or even no worker because they are all tied up in making cheese or from getting resources. I even suggest that players don't shy away from this in my section with the hints for the first game. I think a player has to have some turns where they only have one or no worker available if they want to win the game. Always going for two workers does not seem to get enough points.

You explain very well, i saw some video but this is the best. I have a question. If I play out the 4 diferent colors of dragon it means I block the 2in the midle? Or just when I play out 3 colors

Should you ever crave more resource scarcity, you can try the advanced mode where you get 1 less resource in winter, and during the resource collection phase, you must choose 2 unique resources. Or you can even try out the expert mode, where resource trading becomes 3:1. Thanks again and I hope you have lots more fun with it!

Thanks for designing the game. I think we will actually stay with the amount of resources that we received. It is also fun to have a game where you always have resources. But I think we will add the disasters. That looks like fun, too. Let me know when you come up with a new game. I would be happy to test it. You won't even have to ship it far: I live in Munich.

I have quite a number of board games and was excited to get this from kickstarter. It was a bit difficult to understand at the beginning, but after a few plays it was rather straight forward and quite enjoyable. Maybe not a game for everyone, but I will be playing this many more times in the future. Also I think the construction and aesthetics of the game is fabulous.

Been playing this game a lot and, its not great sadly. Not much player interactivity and you spend a lot of the game always feeling like you're scrambling for resources and never quite having enough. Ive been pondering about how to make this game better and i was thinking maybe a deck of cards with bonuses/ perks on them. Each time you photosynthesise you draw a card with various effects that you can play at any time. This would not only make the photosynthesise action less tedious and frustrating but also allow for more strategy and options during your turn. But yeah, the game is missing something. Its kind of plodding, and...boring sadly. Its just a boring game with no tension or excitement. No satisfaction either really. Its like a 5/10 imo

Other combo, i have seen ramp up quickly, chess nut / woodbee. 5 cheesnuts with 3 woodbees (lucky draw!) boosts your score massevily.

The Hare/ fox combo should be played with a third card, the silver fir. Place all your hares on the silver fir and it rampes your score very naisly!

I've only tinkered around with my deluxe copy of it, havent played it with other peeps, only solo. I agree with you, it is quite confusing and hard to come to grips with it. I'm REALLY wanting it to click because its such a gorgeous production, but i have a sinking feeling it's gonna get sold. I also am not totally sold on the iconography. For reference Wingspan is in my Top 5 all time, so i was excited for this (also i'm a gardener so i dig the whole mushroom/N/P/K thing). Maybe ill give it more time. Or make up my own rules (house rule it) 😂 oh man, such a shame, love the chunky wooden tiles.

Yeah, I realized that, too, after I had taped it and watched it myself. I think it might be related to the fact that the bar has just been set so high with Wingspan. And I really also enjoyed Mariposas more.

Do you recommend to plant trees as many as possible or to fullfill certain number of trees?

I have gone for having all kinds of trees in my forest before, but I don't do that anymore since I think that it is too much effort for not enough points. I have won by having the largest number of trees many times though. Sometimes so that I can get points from the number of trees but lately also because all of my scoring cards were on the same side of the trees and therefore, I needed all the trees to put down the scoring cards. I have even started using saplings regularly since they have no cost but they still count as a tree and you can use them for your scoring strategies.

If you are lucky enough to get two or three mountains in the same turn, you can absolutely stack them on top of each other right away.

I wonder why you dont mention the combined (roe, fallow...) deer+wolf strategy. deer allows you to place another deer. you get heaps of point for other cards. roe deer for the color icons, deer for the trees and fallow deer and wolf for other deer.
