Great video Yannick and I look forward to continuing the project. I'm especially waiting for the video on the control arm & hub upgrade from Clio 197! On my standard 225, the thing that bothers me most is the excessive body lean in the corners, even though it's a Cup chassis, so hope suspension mods could fix that.

Thank you! New video's are in the pipeline but I'm super busy at the moment and for me, this is still just a hobby. The 197 hub & control arm swaps works very well if you've got the supporting mods on the car, without it it's arguably worse than stock without a proper setup. Your body roll problem would probably be fixed with a set of proper coilovers though. Video on the entire swap will come!

Hi mate! I liked the video very much! I have also a megane rs 225 evo 2. I am very interested in the rear axle of the mk3 rs!! Is it really better than the r26s? Is it easy to configure the set up and the full geometry of the suspention? (including toe, camber, height. I have a bc racing MA, high carbon brembos 330 mm, Quaife lsd and remapped from rs tunning uk). I am also after a zpo or cae shifter. Is it worth the monay?

The fact alone that you can adjust the toe and camber on the M3RS rear beam which you can't on the R26 rear beam makes it so worth it. It's also more rigid thus you have a lot less flex on the rear which helps with turning. With shims you can get it pretty close to desired values but that's only static, works brilliant though. ZPO definitely worth it if you're on track a lot!

Ik ga de auto (met heel grote waarschijnlijkheid) niet meer op kenteken zetten maar alleen nog maar gebruiken voor trackdays. Dan valt dat file-probleem automatisch weg. Warm zal 't inderdaad wel worden, maar zolang je rijdt is 't geen probleem lijkt me. :)

I'd have to check but like I said it's more commong on other Renault's with the 2.0 F4R. It doesn't fit with the M2RS standard/aftermarket boost pipes which is why it's never on those cars I assume!

Haha ja doch schon, man sieht es im Video nicht so gut aber ich habe ja auch gebremst, man kann aber vor der Schwedenkreuz Kuppe halt nicht voll in die Eisen gehen, sonst wäre ich da auch noch abgeflogen. 😂 Ich konnte aber über der Kuppe schon sehen das da nichts schlimmeres passiert ist. 😅

how is your cooling?? heard mixed opinions on these, that the oem radiators are the best but some people disagree?! just wondering if i’m going to have to buy a new rad for when i go out in april

I was using a stock radiator for the entire season and it was fine, I only had cooling issues on the hottest days of the year (like almost 30C) but other than that it was fine. Sometimes you have to leave a little gap if you're in someone's slipstream and other times it was going a bit over normal on the Kesselchen uphill section.

I have thought about fitting a 250 lump but realistically I only want the block, not the 250 head since I don't need VVT anyway. I've got a 250 block at home with pistons and will most likely use either the block with pistons or just take the pistons out and use them for my new engine.

Ja wel bizar, het blijft een beetje een raadsel waarom die klep zo is afgebroken. Sommige mensen vermoeden ontsteking, andere valve-float. Ik denk niet dat we er ooit achter zullen komen, want er valt ook niks meer te redden! 😅

For future notice when removing/mounting engine to this type of stand. Black plate that you are mounting to engine - you could remove it from stand (removing that red lever to turn over engine), and mount it when engine was on the ground. Then - rising up engine and just getting to align only 1 hole. Even when Engine is in the air - just mounting that plate is way easier then fighting with whole stand.

Glad you enjoy them! More content is on the way. These cars are starting to die out, I’ve noticed a lot of people switching to different platforms or cars. I always thought it’s just cool to have a car that’s not seen as much and try to push it as far as can be done with my resources.

That moment the pieces of metal were visible in the exhaust side 🙈. Luckily F4RT engines are still attainable. One recommendation: For 10+ min long videos is to add timestamps.

Erg tof om te zien als mede megane 2 rs eigenaar! Gaaf dat je zulke ervaring hebt met sleutelen om hem helemaal uit elkaar te halen. Daar ben ik stiekem wel een beetje jaloers op.
