Ghirahim Diamond no actually, I can hear him just fine. This would be considered a cockatiel talking, sometimes what they say is very very clear, sometimes it’s not too-too clear, sometimes it’s only a little clear and gets more clear with time. You wanna see a cockatiel simply making cockatiel noises go watch a video of cockatiels in the wild, or go watch one of those videos where the person has a bunch of cockatiels in an outdoor aviary, those usually tend to sound like natural cockatiels since they’re amongst a bunch of their own most of the time and aren’t usually around their owners enough to learn words (or maybe they do still spend a lot of time with their owners but just don’t seem to care enough to learn human words. I don’t know the specific reason but usually outdoor aviary tiels just tend to sound more natural

I can’t have my cockatiel look at mirrors cause he tries to attack it and gets so aggressive to his reflection.

While birds can enjoy a mirror, overall, or eventually it stresses them out. They can’t get rid of the intruder. Mirrors are best left out of a birds cage.

I got my Chester a girlfriend named Bonnie......they enjoy the company of other cockatiels
@TheJLAtwell
@TheJLAtwell 6 жыл бұрын
How did Chester respond? Had he been an "only 'tiel" for a while? I would need a bigger cage to get another bird (in fact the cage is a bit too small for one cockatiel.) I live in a very small efficiency; I wouldn't have room for a large cage. I woudl love to have a real friend for Bennie.

TheJLAtwell oh Chester Loved Bonnie, took them a few days to get use to each other but after that...love.....I had a large cage but they hung out on top and they had a favorite spot in the livingroom, they could fly.

Yes, they call that "heart wings." Male cockatiels will do that to express territoriality and , yes, to seduce.

ɛsrα Sɛrαρ no, there’s lots of male cockatiels that get a long very very happily with just their owners- there’s an argument to be made there, and since that’s the case, then don’t tell the uploader what to do ya dummy.

it's always a pity to see a lonely bird in a small-sized cage. Cockatiels are social birds and need a partner (a mirror is too lame), in case you didn't know, well, of course you didn't know.
@TheJLAtwell
@TheJLAtwell 7 жыл бұрын
Of course I realize 'tiels are social birds. Please try to understand; I am a single senior citizen in a tiny efficiency apt. Maybe you think it's cruel and I shouldn't have gotten a bird, but he is a great little companion. Whenever I am home he is out of his cage. He's fully flighted and has freedom to fly around. (He likes to land on my head :) ). If I had room, I'd buy a bigger cage and more cockatiels.

TheJLAtwell don’t worry what these people say, these types of people are all over KZbin, they’re becoming a real problem. Any video that happens to have an animal in it, someone will come a long and say it’s abuse. This one person got mad at this person who uploaded a harmless cute video of their cockatiel because they said that the owner was speaking too fast and it was confusing to the cockatiel and mean and I quote “their small little brains can’t keep up with that and they’re struggling to try” lol, the person wasn’t even talking to the cockatiel in that video, they were talking to the audience/viewer. (It wouldn’t have been “abuse” even if he was talking to the cockatiel, but the fact that he wasn’t just makes that complainers comment all the more confusing! Lol) your cockatiel is adorable, I love the way he leans in when speaking and he looks very happy, I’m sure he loves having you as an owner

I have mirrors for my Cockatiel's and they do love to look at themselves and also interact with their reflection. I'm still not sure whether or not they realize that is them in the mirror and not another bird. Your bird looks just like both my birds. I Love Cockatiels.
