Congrats 🎉 on finishing chemo. I have a neighbor and good friend that was just hospitalized and diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer that has metastasized and gone to his liver and brain. Unfortunately they cannot do chemo because they said it not only would not work but he probably wouldn't survive the first chemo treatment. He has about a month left. Lost my husband of 13 1/3 years to asbestos May 30th, 2017 and a old friend two hours after my husband to his brain cancer and now watching another good friend succumbing to his cancer. Right before he went into the hospital he told me if anything happened to him he wanted me to keep his dog and I am honoring that. If he makes it out of the hospital and back home I will be taking his dog to visit him until he passes. Cancer bites big time. Thank you for sharing your story and struggle, it's an encouragement to people like me who have lost loved ones to cancer and are currently losing somebody they care deeply for to cancer.

Shortly after I was diagnosed with cancer, I bought an affordable Mercedes’ that I’ve always wanted and there Mercedes light is the same when I open the doors- so cool! I know material things don’t matter much but they are fun and a cool car is always nice. Hey we only live once! Do whatever you want!

Hello! I'm in my 40s and a year ago I was diagnosed with Leukemia. Went thru chemo for few months, then had a bone marrow transplant last summer. Also had 6 full body radiation treatments that lasted 40 minutes each in 3 days right before the bmt. I'm still recovering but all is good. What helped and helping me the most is keeping my eyes on the light at the end of this dark tunnel. Losing my hair twice and all the other side effects, I just took those in stride as they happened. Because ultimately I want to reach the end of this tunnel while not letting my cancer defeat my spirit. Prayers and best wishes.
