Thank you for taking the initiative to create YAP and following your passion as a young leader too. It's a privilege to find like-minded youths who are putting their best foot forward to change the narrative in the Agric sector. And yes, we urgently need more youths in Agriculture, their energy, resilience, and innovation is needed. And yes, Africa will feed the world!

It's rare to find young people willing to work in Agricultural space these days! Glad to experience the birth of YAP. Cheers to many unforseen achievements 🎉

Kudos!. This is a very commendable initiative. There's urgent needs to cultivate the Agricultural industry in the country to the stage of attractiveness, viability and sustainability etc etc in order to actively involve the youths. The various governments should also take it as their mandatory duty to rescue Agriculture from it's destitute conditions especially when it comes to the category of labour involved. Governments needs to support this kind of Youth in Agriculture initiatives by taking Conscious and Deliberate policies and programs that can motivate the youths to have sustainable and gainful careers in Agriculture. Only a well-planned and thoroughly coordinated Reorientation Program involving the public and private sectors can change us from White Collar oriented people to the stage where we we will able to harness the gains in modern technological advances in the Agriculture Industry. At this obviously deficit stage of the industry in this country, the governments should not shy away from making the required fiscal and administrative Sacrifices that must be undertaken to rescue the Industry from its present doldrums.

Rightly said... If all of us can channel our energy to restructuring and constitution review, We will be the Giant the west once saw in US again
@sundayhezekiah50025 ай бұрын
God bless you!. And for the umpteenth time, the clarion call for restructuring is being sounded. If we can't get the economy right because of lack of merit, productivity etc, we won't be out of the woods any time soon. Unfortunately, the present system that rewards mediocrity instead of merit is preferred by the political class hence their deafness to clarion calls for reforms.

Dear friend your report and recommendations are very apt, sensible and believable. You've been in the thick of this agricultural matter in training and experience since way way back up to about 1984/85 when your pic adorned NYSC almanac with the same Maize background up to your position as Special Adviser on Agriculture to Ondo state governor. Anyone who is desirous of making use of palm nuts should be ready to apply the force to break palm kernels because ojú bọ̀rọ̀ kọ́ la fi ń gb'ọmọ l'ọ́wọ́ èkùrọ́. There are so many political, economic and traditional palm kernels we have to break if we have to get anything right in this country. Let's hope that the FG will buy into these laudable ideas because I believe it would have been escalated to it's various institutions and platforms. This should also be forwarded to DAWN (Development Agenda for Western Nigeria) which will be able adopt the proposals for its regional initiatives where feasible pending further reforms in the unwieldy structure of the country. Isn't it very laughable and indicative of an unserious people for semi-subsistence farmers to be required to travel all the way from Ondo state to Kaduna in order to sign for a loan credit of mere #250,000 ??.

Tropic Palm has made a brave investment. There was a time when Nigeria was the leading palm oil producer in the world and investments like Tropic Palm in a difficult investment and security climate will go a long way to building strength in Nigeria's agri capability. Well done!
