Aaron sounds like signature rough around the edges Aaron! Not sure why all the negativity on his vocals. Here in 2022, praying for that Guy Reunion Tour, because they can have my money!

Times change... we have to remember he's not the same... HOWEVER.. he's a natural singer and it's shame he's voice isn't stronger... I mean, he could probably get it back if stripped it down and did vocal exercise... and took the key down 1.5 steps until he can get comfortable again... but still don't sound that bad...

A healthy voice actually gets stronger as u age. And starts to drop off around 65. He’s had some health issues. Charlie Wilson is way older and continues to sing in the same key as he did when he was with the gap band
@rillesttalk Жыл бұрын
Love Charlie, but his songs aren’t and have never been as vocally strenuous as Aaron’s. Aaron has far more octaves, riffs and runs. Find at least two male vocalists who can come close to sounding like AH while covering just one of his songs; and I’ll possibly agree with you, sir! No one remakes his classics because it’s vocally too difficult.
@Timetravelman Жыл бұрын
@@rillesttalk You can’t compare the two at all. Aaron hall was OK. Simply listen to them LIVE. There is no comparison. Vocally even in his 70’s Charlie Wilson is unmatched. You can tell Aaron Hall was inspired by CW

I am disappointed with the sound engineering. Guy's vocals DESERVE to be HEARD and folks came to hear this great band at PEAK mix. Without the jealous greedy music executives New Jack Swing would have been our music staple.

Obviously he's not going to sound the same as in 2000. Age, health challenges & possible drug or alcohol use can contribute to the change in sound. I'll keep my personal opinion to myself, because I don't know him. I wish them well..

Absolutely! Aaron did great vocally while playing to the crowd. I’ve been watching these Brothas live since ‘88 and they always open up with their energetic dancing routine to “I Like”. Being over 50, I think it’s time to start slow and end the show with upbeat tunes like “Groove Me”, “I Like”, “Round and Round” etc.

Miss #MichaelJackson - Big time. Who still feels the loss of #MJ? His death (almost 11 yrs ago) caused a SEISMIC SHIFT in our Galactic Planetary System .. Yeah. Whn #MJ hit the #Music scene it was all magical for us. The #Jackson5 charted FOUR #1 Hits in a row. They created the whole "boy band' genre. They pioneered so many firsts, but as great as they were.. their 'baby' brother became greater. Then, he became the GREATEST of all time. Just like that, b4 their eyes. If U cannot believe he's gone, then imagine his Family. Imagine his Mother, Ms. Katherine Scruse Jackson.. How is she coping? She's not here in #America but in London, England with her daughter Janet Jackson. Are we so broken as a country that #MJ's Mom is safer in London, England? For now, I don't know. England also has a history of racial genocide too. In Mr. Michael Jackson's name let's get this done. Over 400 yrs is enough. It can't make him come back, but it can "make a better world, for you & for me".. AND our children & their children. That is true humanity, true faith.. to "heal the world". #MichaelJackson may have died #TheKingOFPop but he's the undisputed Greatest Entertainer of All Time. The GOAT's GOAT. #MJ left blood, sweat & tears on that stage. All the while, fighting racists, racism & ignorance. Think abt that every single time you believe your life is "too hard" .. Think abt your ancestors .. Think abt how you can still make just your Family, Friends, this world better, then do it. #TheKingMJ4Ever ❤️🌐⚖💜 As for #HeavyD The Man was a big teddy bear. He lived a few blocks from us in Mount Vernon (NY) & my baby brother looked so much like him, at the Dyre Ave #5 train station (last stop in #TheBronx not 2 far from the #MtVernon county line which divides #TheBronx from #MtVernon) Nicky (my bro) would be approached by autograph seekers & groupies. Nicky had no idea who this #HeavyD was, but one day at home, he casually mentioned it at dinner & every kid at the table just lost their minds. Whn he found out who #HeavyD was .. Well, he was upset. He hated RAP music cuz he was a true metal head. Which was uncommon for #Caribs b/c we like melodies, but he was. Nicky never grew to like RAP but he did respect & love the man #HeavyD was & became. He also respected & loved #MichaelJackson 👏🏾❤️ Go figure, he's up there #Gone2Soon in heaven of a stroke. With #MJ #HeavyD #JohnnyKemp & his favorite #Prince .. My baby bro is happy. Ironically, none of those guys I mentioned perform metal music but my bro' never, ever fit neatly into any box anyway. It's the #Carib blood. We R #Diversity🙏🏾 Lastly, I met #JohnnyKemp many, many moons ago when he played #TheCellar on the Upper West Side (NY) & fronted #KinkyFox which later became #TheFoxx (very early 1980s) I think #JohnnyKemp was solo then since the band played #TheCellar but without Kemp. They were the tightest band I had ever seen up to that point & Johnny Kemp (as always) was amazing. He was a fellow #Carib like #HeavyD (As I am too❤️) so he was really a homegrown, 'down to earth' Man. Always saw him running his errands, on his way to record Music, meet with record/studio ppl.. Always hustling, working to make it big which he did (#JustGotPaid) but the cost of fame is a big one. For sure. I have no doubt there's more to his death than we will ever know cuz 'island' kids know never to play on the jetties esp if it's dark out or/and if U R impaired (like tipsy/drunk, etc.) but I guess the authorities felt it was an accident. Maybe. Like #MJ #Prince & so many others met 'unfortunate' accidents. WTF? Right.😡 You know, we value & cherish the music forever💜🎵💜 I don't know the last guy on the list, but he had to be really good to be there with the others. If anybody knows his story, tell us. We keep them all alive here on Earth, when we re-tell their stories, recall memories we have of thm & keep on playing their #Music cuz #TheMusicNeverDies 💜🎵💜 Let's eradicate all racial hatred. #EndRacism #EndHate #BLM #RespectLoveAllMyColors .. #Caribs R Native, African & a lot of #European 'other'😂 depending on who colonized the island, but their brutality only made us more defiant. The world has always bn more racially mixed than not, so fight racism, hate, ignorance, etc. b/c it all leads to violence & genocide eventually.😪 #Resist mindlessness, self-educate as well as educate, be as literate as humanly possible. Respect & love your'self' & whatever U choose 2 do in life.💋❤️🌐⚖🙏🏾💙❤️

All you people who up here complaining about Aaron's voice I'm sure are not professional singers themselves when you become a professional singer and you sing as many times as he did and your voice has a cyst or anyting that contribute to your vocal cords Being bruised you're going to have a problem Chaka Khan went through it she had to have surgery to correct it if I'm not mistaken I think it was Cisco or somebody went through it that's what happens when you sing a lot and don't rest your voice and then you have surgery and you don't heal I know a lot of people in the music industry who had issues with their voice and needed surgery And he had a stroke so instead of bashing him pray for him and be grateful that he still among us because we're losing our soldiers like water
