Lovely to see the development of the town in your video. However the songs were superb and made the whole thing a jem. Many thanks. Rmb5*

Thankyou Rev. Ian. I couldn't agree more with your eloquent argument on this subject. I am 9 years late to this meeting. I thank The Lord Jesus for sending us such a Minister Of Truth. I am in open rebellion in the same way my Lord Jesus is. I know this upsets people in government-authority-religion. This isn't a back handed compliment. I am not in the habit of imposing my will. I hope people will use their own gnosis in these matters with assistance from good men like yourself Ian.

Great to see my hometown from the past. I now live in Edinburgh but I can say I love it more than ever. Good, honest, hardworking people of whom many of my forebears were a part.

Born in Glasgow in the 1950's but now living in Edinburgh. This took me back and filled my heart with pride and joy, especially thinking of all the older generations who have now left us.

I really like how they have the Argyles 'veterans' march as 'outriders' alongside them. A brilliant touch ! From an RE veteran who served with them in 1973.

This breaks my heart how could such beauty be allowed to diminish and vanish the buildings the architecture the tenements ect and especially the people 🤣
@MrScotia3 жыл бұрын
The Labour party over the decades totally ripped the heart out of Dumbarton, Renton, Alexandria, Bonhill, and Glasgow with a stupid mindset of ring roads, motorways, and socialist utopian tragic looking architecture.

Too many beautiful old buildings were torn down by "modernist" town planners. Glasgow had a very special character that came from it's architecture.

Classical music isn't just funeral music! I thought it made a nice change to hear a symphonic sound with the video.

Back when Glasgow was a city to be proud of, God knows what the people back then would think of the absolute Cesspit it is now. It’s sad.

Gorgeous scenery! This looks like a fabulous lifestyle! For me, the music didn’t match the video real well, but I found it inoffensive. Easy to turn down your audio if you aren’t crazy about it.

Being English living in Alexandria was not always a great place to be but best memories from the shores of Loch Lomond. Our kids always grateful to Christie Park for early education.

Hi Carol, Could you please tell me what it was like living there? As I’m thinking of moving up there myself with my young children. We are from England to.
@MrScotia3 жыл бұрын
@@sarajones5560 Have you visited the area before? If it's cheaper housing you're looking for then it's probably the place to go but other than that it's just an urban extension of Glasgow.
@MrScotia3 жыл бұрын
Why was it not easy being English living in Alexandria? My mate who's English and lives in the town and works at Faslane loves the area despite the town itself being a bit of a dump.

Although from London my mother was from Dumbarton and all her family ( my family). My great uncle was in the Argylls and lost his life in 1915 just outside tires Belgium. He is not only remembered on the memorial in Levengrove park his name is in St. Augustine church and his mother & Fathers headstone in Dumbarton cemetery. His name is on the Menin Gate in Ypres. He was never found and remains still listed missing.
