Have you ever seen neuorpathy develop after a shorter period of heavy drinking - such as just a few months? This is me. I’m 50. Light drinker my entire life. It’s a long story but I had a recent issue in my life and increased daily drinking (3, 4, 5 drinks per night) for maybe 4 months or so. And then suddenly numbness and tingling in hands and feet, and some numbness in legs. I just had an excellent A1C. I’m fit and otherwise healthy and not on any medication. I’m actually hoping the drinking was the cause because I’ve already quit, and I’m ready to do your protocol (along with some others I’ve seen online). Thanks for posting these videos! They have been encouraging.

Thanks for sharing your story!🍀Yes, neuropathy can indeed develop after a shorter period of heavy drinking. Even a few months of increased alcohol consumption can lead to nerve damage, especially if it’s accompanied by vitamin deficiencies commonly seen with chronic alcohol use. Your symptoms of numbness and tingling in your hands, feet, and legs are consistent with neuropathy. While your A1C levels are excellent and you’re otherwise healthy, it's still important to consult a professional to ensure a comprehensive approach to your recovery. Feel free to reach out to us at +1 434-977-5432 for personalized advice. You can explore more information on our website, reversingneuropathy.com. Hi Dr Prax I have ulcerative colitis and they treated me with prednisone for around 6 months , after i finished treatment i was left with tingling in my feet , then 4 days ago they gave me a new steroid and it made the neuropathy worse and now i have a pain in my hand i stopped after 3 days do you think it may heal in time?

Sorry to hear about your challenges with ulcerative colitis and neuropathy. Steroids like prednisone can sometimes cause nerve issues, leading to tingling or pain. Nerves can heal over time, but it varies for each person. It's important to keep working with your doctor to monitor your symptoms and adjust your treatment plan. If you'd like to discuss this further, please call us at +1 434-977-5432 for personalized advice. We're here to support you! 🌿 - Reversing Neuropathy Team

Really good video and I’m stingy with compliments. 1)Alcohol is poison. If you’re a heavy drinker and get lucky you might get some foot tingles and get a warning sign. If you’re really lucky they might go away upon abstinence. If you’re really unlucky you might get no warning sign whatsoever and the first symptoms you have might be brain dysfunction/damage and severe autonomic neuropathy. The latter is a nightmare condition where the nerves connected to your organs malfunction and die. Leading to severe disability and low quality of life. 2)Exercise is great if you are leading a healthy life. But if you’re not eating well while drinking heavily, vigorous exercise is a terrible idea and could only further deplete thiamine levels that may already be low due to high alcohol and poor diet. Thiamine is critical for brain health and a deficiency, along with the direct neurotoxic effects of ethanol can easily leave you with severe brain and nerve damage. The cerebellum and frontal lobes are particularly vulnerable. I found out the hard way.
@Reversing_Neuropathy

You’re absolutely right-alcohol can be incredibly harmful to our nerves and overall health. Alcohol-induced neuropathy can indeed range from mild tingling to more severe conditions like autonomic neuropathy, which can significantly impact one's quality of life. Your point about thiamine is spot on-it's crucial for maintaining nerve health, especially for those who drink heavily. It’s a tough lesson, but it’s never too late to make changes and protect our health. You can explore more about neuropathy and how to manage it at reversingneuropathy.com. Gabapentin(Neorontin-qhich sounds like "neurons rottin' " to me) stops the brain from making new connections. Maybe that helps with pain, but what's that doing to and for the rest of your brain?????? My cousin not so lucky, she took them like drugs, now has no teeth and is mentally handicapped and even has signs of mania and craziness.

TRUE! I've had it since 2016. I've had spinal fusion, spine injections, and go to a chiropractor every month and my hands and feet still cramp, tingle, and are on fire so bad it keeps me awake at night. And no, my body hasn't fixed it on its own. Tell that to my screaming feet and hands at 4am. I've stopped going to the ER whenever I have a flare-up because I hate being treated like a mental patient or drug addict. I just live with the constant pain.

Cold showers can fight stress. The shock of cold water triggers the release of endorphins, which help reduce feelings of stress and anxiety. The question is since cold affects in a bad way patients with Charcot Marie Tooth, do you know if cold showers will benefit them or not?
@Reversing_Neuropathy
@Reversing_Neuropathy 11 күн бұрын
Interesting point! Cold showers can indeed trigger the release of endorphins, which help reduce stress and anxiety. However, for individuals with CMT disease, the effects of cold exposure can vary. Cold temperatures might exacerbate some CMT symptoms, such as muscle weakness or numbness, so it's essential to be cautious. ❄️ We recommend discussing any new treatment, including cold showers, with a healthcare provider to ensure it's safe and beneficial for specific condition.
