Do you drain the grease after cooking hamburger meat?
@DonnaJoshi21 сағат бұрын
If you use very lean hamburger meat you can just use kitchen tongs with a paper towel and it will absorb. With lean meat you don't really have too but, if there is more fat I definitely drain it into a can or container.

If they need to come inside you can. Keep in a brighter indirect light and don't move it around. You may consider a humidifier because they enjoy the moisture. Watch for pests of any kind. You may consider keeping a pesticide spray handy and check the base of the plant often. Hope this helps. 😊

When keeping inside be sure not to overwater and make sure it's getting enough indirect sunlight. It may be in a bit of shock from transferring into another pot. Always give a new plant time to adjust to its new environment first. Maybe a few weeks. Check to make sure it's not too moist. If so avoid watering until it dries a bit. Hope this helps.

How would you suggest I prune this plant to .maintain its shape? I find if I attempt to overwinter in greenhouse, it tends to get leggy. How do I counteract that? I'm in zone 6.5, on the coast of massachusetts.
@DonnaJoshi2 ай бұрын
I would prune in spring or early summer when the plant is actively growing. Cut just above a sideshoot or at a healthy part of the trunk, below any damage or rot. Leave at least one pair of leaves on each stem so the plant can continue to photosynthesize. I hope this helps.

Yes, your plant can grow back. I would follow my care instructions and give it a try. Place your plant in a place which is not drafty. Also, try not to move it once placed. Some plants have to readjust and that causes stress. Hope this helps. Keep in mind Also, plants go dormant in the winter so this will slow the process.

My Cordyline’s leaves look shredded and brown. It’s outside in sun part time. Please help
@DonnaJoshi4 ай бұрын
Reasons leaves might turn brown include: Sunburn, Improper planting, Excessive fertilization, Fungal and bacterial diseases, herbicides over and underwatering. My best advice without actually knowing your care schedule is to follow my care instructions in the video. Also, it depends on your area. If it's getting really hot it could mean you need more water. Again I like to water at a cooler time of day trying to get more near the roots. Hope this helps.

I knew it!!!! I just bought 3 of these beautiful plants that were in a shallow, small pot, and the directions say to water the cup of the plant. I was thinking, "That can't be right; if I do that, then its going to end up rotting the leaves/flower, essentially the entire plant!" Sure enough, they should be watered the same way you water any other plant!!! They give you those "care instructions" so that you end up kiIIing your plant(s), thus needing to buy more!!!

@DonnaJoshi6 ай бұрын
Cordylines can grow in full sun, partial shade, or dense shade, but more sun can help develop their colors and may require more water. For the best foliage, some recommend light-filtered shade. You may consider watering daily to keep leaves from turning brown when it's especially hot. I used to live in Melbourne. I'm so jealous! I love it there.
