I would advise you not to sand the plastic because you are making micro plastics. Use something like handheld mill and a template, or use chisels, use something that makes bigger scraps. (Sorry for my gramatics it's not my first language)

The those molds specifially made for ovens or are any silicon molds good for this?

I have a couple of questions. I’ve heard that this should only be done with PLA since that material doesn’t create toxic fumes if brought up to only 350 F. It’s great that you have ventilation but it may still be dangerous if you are using PETG. etc. Also, I’ve seen others use a wooden rod similar to a mortar and pestle kit to push down the plastic as it melts. I haven’t tried this yet but I have gotten voids too so I’ll use one soon. Keep up the great work and thanks for posting.
@craftedcatastrophes8 күн бұрын
We are not prioritizing petg but there are some fragments within the PLA for sure. It's fun doing this but yes, as you mentioned.....trying our best to be careful and away from any fumes and such. Thanks for joining us Thomas.

For the "pass through" phone stand problem with the overture silk is that you need to create a profile for the filament after doing "flow dynamic calibration" on that filament as documented in the bambu labs wiki.
