I’ve a K1200S and time for a change … I’m used to the 170bhp power so maybe I want XS … but then I’m also used to the shaft drive and don’t know if I want to go back to a chain so maybe the GS is more what I need … whatever I do I know it will be between these pair , I just need to book some test rides

Harley, under the leadership of a woke German, decided to discontinue entry level offerings, choosing rather to sell only high end. While woke Harley betrays their traditional customer base, Harley's traditional customers are migrating to Indian.

Thank you for the comparison. I have primarily ridden BMWs over the years, but I am considering a V twin. Currently, I can get a grand America cheaper than the Harley/Indian equivalent. I’m more comfortable with the BMW but was just interested in something a little different.

This looks like Blue Ridge TN/NC area. edit: I bought one last week and it has been humbling. I have ridden since being a youth, and I am definitely still learning new things with this bike...

Very nice bike, the spoke wheels are nice on the cafe racer. but what i really hate are the colors. Looks so tremendously ugly in this weird blue color. They should offer more color choices. I loved the black and gold colors on the old one. Only thing missing where the spoke wheels. Now it has the spoke wheels and they totally screwed up the color. Why ducati, why?

This bike wasn't even on my radar, but then I came across a 2019 Supersport online with only 2159 km on it. and the same day I found a 2018 BMW s1000r with only 2400 km on it. and a 2017 Street Triple RS with 1800 km on it. and all of them looked really nice and looked close to new in the pictures. and there was a video of The Ducati and it sounded so sweet with the V Twin engine. and the price was right. and I was thinking wow a Ducati. I actually never imagined owning one. it always seemed out of my league. so when I saw these 3 bikes online I spent a few days online looking at KZbin reviews on all of them, the only one out of the three I had ever ridden before was the Street Triple RS. and I was hoping the bikes weren't going to sell while I tried to make up my mind what to do. but after maybe 3 days I decided to go with the Ducati. and it wasn't sold yet. all 3 bikes were a two and a half hour drive one way. and I didn't want to drive a 5 hour round trip to test a bike. so I made an offer on the Ducati online without ever seeing it in person or ever riding one. the offer was excepted and the next day it got delivered in a van. and when they rolled it out of the van it looked like it came off the show room floor. and I couldn't believe how beautiful it was. and when I first road it down the street I was instantly like wow this is nice. I only road it for ten minutes that day. the next time I road it was a couple of days later, an hour each way to get the bike put in my name. and on that trip I totally fell in love it it. its such a sweet machine. I love everything about it. love the seat hight. love the stock sound. love the engine power delivery, love the confident inspiring handling and stable ride. how it holds lines around sweeping turns. the only negative is the engine heat because I live in a super hot place. but I am in love with this bike. every time I look at it I find myself drooling. this is maybe my favorite bike I ever owned in my life. and I have only ridden it twice. its not the S model but it came with the back seat cover.

You were on the bike not 10 mins and whining like a baby, like anything, it takes a few days or more to get use to something new. This clutch, this throttle so weird, so weird, so weird whaaa whaaaa whaaaa. This review makes me want to punt puppies. If you live with a partner, they must wish you shut up on an hourly basis.

As you said, I think the k1600 compared to the gold wing would be a better comparison. For the Indian and something like the Harley road glide would be a better comparison. I’ve had a street glide, a road glide, super bikes (bmw s1000rr) and now I have the k1600b. The k1600 is very comfortable but with 160hp, you can’t compare to an Indian. Although, imo, that Indian is ugly, sorry but I just couldn’t do it.

I am surprised that the BMW does not have a GPS. I would expect they would have a nice large sized one that comes standard being that the Grand America is a touring bike.

I owned a Diavel, and currently own an X Diavel S. In short they’re two completely different bikes. The X Diavel S has a tear drop style tank, improved front brake calipers, different wheels, it has launch control, it’s belt driven, and has no quick shifter like the Diavel. Although you can buy it for around 800$. The X Diavel is the more premium of the two, and it shows when they’re next to each other.

Just pointing out that this SF only has termignoni slip ons, that a full system has a different appearance in that it has a much larger 70mm diameter exhaust piping, relocated o2 sensor for the vertical rear cylinder and exhaust loop that decreases ground clearance as well as it eliminates the exhaust valve. Also a dramatically improved sound, think Ducati cranked to 11.
