Man, I loved these guys when I was a kid. Never saw them in person, so it was a big treat to be able to catch them on t.v. Curly Neal was my favorite. Always had the biggest smile on his face. 😊🏀

Ice T's and Spike's book brought me here. For more context, Spike a longtime friend of Ice T would do robberies and decided to do one in Ventura County in the Monecito Mall at this high end jewlery store. Apparently it got a lot of attention but can't find info about it. Spike mentioned that after his success in the robbery, the Harlem Globetrotters got arrested in SB. Globetrotters filed a civil lawsuit and won. Spike would then end up doing a bid from the robbery. (All this is written in Ice T and Spike book "Split Decision".

It's not basketball, it's pure art! Absolutely ludicrous skills with the ball, you can watch time after time again and still not get close to being able to work out how they do half the things they do! It's even more than the skill though, they manage to be comedically brilliant at the same time. True art, pure entertainment!

They came to my High School in the 60's. played our coaches and faculty. The C's and F's ruined it by playing the Globetrotters to win, and most of their show was not seen. As I look back, the High School could have been better.
