At markets I sell to my audience expectations. For example at a Fine Art Fair I will sell my metal enameled pieces and more expensive items. If I do a craft fair then I sell my crafts- the items that it doesn't take me as long to make- for example garden art and spoon rings that I hammer out and my little owl and cat necklaces- fun stuff= no buy sell!! That is a no no for me. As far as your flea market- you can still do it and make money but bring the lower prices items that you can knock out quickly from material that isn't expensive for you. I make as much at my craft shows as I do the fine art- sometimes more! I just have to sell more.

Really enjoyed watching you put your shirts together. I use the double sided interfacing on my letters and t-shirts- gives it some body and makes it easier to cut-also holds it in place when sewing. I found a Nirvana t shirt today. You better believe I will put good use to it- it's black and will look great on a black and white flannel. Do you have much luck with selling them at your markets? I love making them but they are a hard sell and take a lot of time to make. My price point is about 28.
@AzureDaisyEmbroidery22 күн бұрын
@@cynthiahicks1909 I have sold several. People love them. I have been getting between 45 and 60 for them. They are a lot of work so don’t sell yourself short . If they love it they will pay the price for your work. These are one of a kind, no two are alike. 😉 I appreciate you watching and commenting.❤️ I would love to see your shirt!!

I love upcycling, so I'm watching. :) RE cutting the jacket back, my only thoughts are if the fabric you added is a much lighter weight, then I would sew it on top rather than cut it out. The reason being is I'd want the same wind or weather protection as the rest of the jacket, and light weight fabric wouldn't give you that. But it looks awesome either way. :)
@AzureDaisyEmbroidery22 күн бұрын
@@topangasunrise good point! The skirt was heavy enough but I agree, a lighter fabric would be better seen on top. Thank you so much for watching and your feedback!😊

Oh my- watching these market videos gives me anxiety- I did markets for 30 years!! The wind, the storms, the kids breaking stuff, the dogs peeing all over my table skirts, the people asking insane questions about customs- like wanting to pay 10 bucks and have me hand deliver 1 hour away. You name it. I had a woman bring back a custom necklace I had made 20 years earlier!!!!! Girl, I have stories....... and yes, you guessed it- I have two more to go until the end of the year. But whew... they are indoors thank you Jesus.

Here is an idea- new for you to try. On the pockets put a stencil and then squeegie some soft scrub with bleach- lift the stencil and then let it process- will give you some cool designs on our pockets. If the soft scrub is too liquid for you- put a thickener in it- medium or even some boiled corn starch.

I wish people would bring cash with them to art/craft events. I take square but if I don't get a good signal it's very frustrating. I love cash- wham, bang, customer has product and they are moving on. I hate standing around for 10-15 minutes messing with the app when it sticks or I can't get it to work.

@AzureDaisyEmbroideryАй бұрын
@@revecarodriguez709 I do but I don’t leave them in very long and I use a lot of water so it is not straight bleach. As soon as I am done they go straight into the washer and get a good rinse. I have one I have been wearing for at least 8 years and no issues. Thank you and I will keep that in mind.
