Thanks for posting this. The "official" post kept freezing, so it was good to watch an alternative. Dan would have been a great booth addition in future years.

After all these years, I am still surprised that Charlie Kimball escapes scrutiny for staying on the track while running a speed that should have gotten him black flagged.

Bryan Herta "Dan Wheldon is the best driver here at the Indy 500 probably ever" Never. What people will say when they're excited. And I don't agree with Goodyear's statement that a more experienced guy would have just throttled back. Kimball's car was going so slow that he should have got out of the way and that's on his spotter's fault. Both their spotter's fault. If Sato can start winning at a late stage so can anybody. I root for Hildebrand every year just so he can get that one back.

Is it really the 100th anniversary, considering the Indy 500 wasn't run from 1942 to1945 because of World War II???
@NotSteveCook5 ай бұрын
The first Indy 500 was in 1911, so 2011 is the 100th anniversary race. Due to WWI & WWII, the 100th Indy 500 was in 2016.

So people can understand it: We don't go racing on these small time airports like this anymore because they are too busy bringing tons and tons of planes in and out of the airport to allow something like that. Because smaller airports have become a lot more popular over the years.I live near one and they have planes taxing in and out every hour at very least, whereas when I was a kid they would maybe have a few planes per day.

okay when I was 11 years old me and my sisters were in the middle crowd it was the final lap at the Indy 500 when someone crashed into the wall, while Dan Wheldon winning the race.. Well we made a runner for it, we went through security again. We were deciding on going somewhere else when we were about to exit. The crowd was so long we have to wait 3 and a half hours to get out undected AGAIN we hid our selves under a tent after an long 50 minutes after that race. We were getting hot in there unfortunally we lost our footing and kinda fell on the ground we were getting the heck out of there. Finally after 3 hours have passed my feet were killing me we sat down for 15 minutes. After that we were walking out the door I was a bit nervous and a few minutes later we were out the door and there was a small crowd we were in the front row I was so nervous when Dan Wheldon came out I just fainted

okay so at St Pete I was around 11 me and my sisters were in the front row of the crowd we made a runner for it. I told my twin sister to tell them it's time to make another plan. Yep you guessed it didn't work first we went past security, hid ourselves so nobody can see us. When we snuck up on Dan Wheldon we lost out footing yep we fell I told my sisters to plan b we all tripped and almost fell we back in the front crowd I was a bit nervous, and after a few minutes later when Dan Wheldon came out I really fainted

1:02:30 Okay let me tell you a story... We went to the Indy 500, so me and my sisters ( I was 11 at the time) hatch yet another plan, ( which hilariously failed) We snuck through security, went to the halls without alarm, well we were hiding in a tent so nobody knows who we are ( which they know anyway) when we snuck up on Dan Wheldon we kind of still looking around, yep we lost out footing and fell to the ground. We were running and almost tripped on something we were out of air, 10 minutes later ( it happened again ) we were exiting after that race, hid somewhere were planning a plan B it was getting hot in there so we got out, after a few seconds when Dan Wheldon came out of nowhere when we were about to leave I fainted

Okay so let me tell you guys something... A few years ago I was about 11 years old (im 20 btw) My sisters and I went to the Indy 500, I remember that day after the race we were in the front row in the crowd ( not going according to plan lol) A few minutes later at 6:00pm I was a bit nervous I asked my sisters where to go next.. Yet another 10 minutes later.. still nervous I was shaking like crazy... 2 minutes later we were stuck in the front row of the crowd, still nervous to get out of there..( which I ended up at the hospital) we were still stuck.. I was still nervous a few minutes later already nervous to get out of there as we were about to exit Dan Wheldon came out of nowhere I fainted..
