They also retconned the bond phenomenon to be related to aura, purely so that Lucario can have reasonable a connection to it

@@TheYveltalKid I can understand where you come from when we talk about redrawing it (by redrawing I meant having to redraw Ash Greninja in a Journeys Art Style which when we consider how much the art style changed isn't that simple), but seriously the "confusing kids" is reasonable Ash-Greninja did co-exist with Z-Moves with no issue because every Z-Move doesn't transform the entire Pokémon. They kept Ash Greninja in Sun & Moon because it would be weird locking Ash Greninja to one game when he was so popular even whilst Sun & Moon was around, They capitalized of the popularity of Ash Greninja in Sun & Moon and when Gen 8 came out the heat had stabilized. So they didn't need to use Ash Greninja and he was pretty overpowered in the games, people used a ditto strategy to transform into ash Greninja and spam water shuriken (A Ditto can transform into it and still be able to use the shuriken till 5 times instead of the 3 times limiter) In short :- (Games) Ash Greninja was in Sun & Moon due to the popularity and was removed later because he wasn't needed in future settings + they removed all the megas and ash Greninja was similar to a mega so yea. (Anime) Ash Greninja didn't fit in that setting where we had Pokémon grow by altering space and plus Ash was training Lucario, bring in Ash Greninja wouldn't make sense when Ash is trying to strengthen his connection and aura with Lucario If Ash is trying to connect to Lucario he wouldn't randomly fuse (By fuse I mean completely bond with each other) and make Lucario feel even worse and pressured about how he isn't as strong as Greninja

If we were to think as if we were animating that scene would you think they would re-draw Ash Greninja for one scene and then immediately de-transform them, similar to how the creator of this video keeps arguing how they wouldn't redraw scenes just reuse them. In both cases the animators don't have to do extra work About the Ash Lucario thingy you said, we know Greninja is special thus only he is the Pokémon that can transform into a pseudo mega without needing a stone. Plus having a Ash Mega Lucario makes no sense, he already has a stone so instead of becoming something like Ash Lucario it would transfer to strengthen Mega Lucario

@@TheYveltalKidsaying Ash greninja could coexist with z-moves is a very bad example. This is because 1. Z moves aren’t a transformation like G-max and terastallization are and 2. Mega Evolution also coexisted along z-moves which ash greninja sort of relates to. The whole story behind mega evolution is to have a strong bond with your pokemon. That’s exactly what ash greninja is via the ability battle bonds. It’s essentially mega evolution without the mega stone.
