I couldn’t find a site saying where the sensor is located on the 05 & 06 until I came across yours. I had found what I thought was the sensor on passenger side but all other videos said driver side so thank you. Now to figure out how to release the connector without breaking it.

I know one guy in an area town with 506,000 miles on a 99 Ford F-150 4.6 using Castrol Edge..he started when it was just called Syntec. Then it was Edge Syntec and now it's just Edge.

I'm exceptionally fond of factory oil filters for daily drivers but the Microgard Select has never let me down. On a Chevrolet i used to get Napa Gold which is a relabeled WIX and back then was about $3 less than the WIX. Prices went up and I switched to Fram Ultra for about a hundred thousand miles. Had a friend who'd use the orange can Fram for loooooong oil change intervals and never had a problem. I think people put faith in subjective nonsense all too easily and once they learn it wrong it's darn near impossible to get them to change their minds. I used orange can fram on a couple Ford's and a Dodge and never had an issue but they were shorter oil cycles than people i knew. Fact is now I remember the guy I bought the Chevrolet truck from was using orange can fram for the first 75,000 miles.

If it is true that Volvo recommends Castrol Edge oil for their cars, I think that is a clue that this is a very good oil indeed. Volvo makes very good cars and it makes sense they would want only the best products in their vehicles!

Use a very wide flat head, insert and twist. Doesn't have to come out very far in order to press the clip down. Dirt can pack them up pretty good
@dgm4ever8 ай бұрын
They are notoriously difficult, and you don't want to break the plastic. quick blast of wd40, let sit for a sec. quick blast of brake clean. This is to get the dirt and crap out of the gaps beteen the clip insert and the connector that makes it almost impossible to get out by hand. Then use a flatblade or two together and carefully work it out.

Hey, quick question. If I had no ac/ no power going to any of the 4 modes, could it still be the blower control switch? Or at that point would it be the motor for the fan?
@Donnysjeepadventures Жыл бұрын
Main fuse seems the most likely. If you actually have voltage flowing to the fan than yes, fan makes the most sense.

I've got a '14 Volvo S60 T5 and it's been burning oil at like .5qt to 1qt of oil every 2,500 miles. I use to buy Mobile 1 for my car (I'm not suggesting it's the reason for the engine oil burning in the first place) but about 2 or 3 years ago I switched engine oils. Volvo actually recommends Castrol Edge for their engines, and since my car has over 80,000 miles, I figured I should start using a high mileage engine oil for my car. So I make the switch to Castrol Edge High Mileage Full Synthetic, and I've actually noticed that the engine oil burning has slowed down quite a bit. The additives in the engine oil seem to really work, and of course my engine has been running perfectly. I will be buying Castrol Edge for now on!

Hi, Thx for the video. I've had an ongoing P0340 on my 2005 TJ Sport. I've tried multiple camshaft sensors, including OE Mopar. I've also replaced the brain (PCU), which has gone bad two times on this Jeep in less than three years. I still get the code. Even swamped out the whole synchronizer. My Jeep runs and drives great no misfires, good horsepower etc. BUT, sometimes when I'm driving it, especially if I romp on it or am accelerating uphill the whole Jeep will start to hesitate like a jerking back and forth (until I take my foot off accelerator and then it will stop) and then check engine light will pop on and it's always P0340. So frustrating.... If anyone else has experienced this pls reply.

I dropped it off at my local Jeep dealer last week. I'll let you know what they say. I think the best way to describe the issue is that the whole car surges under hard acceleration. I even recently re did the timing kit thinking it might be slightly off (and the guide was broken) but it didn't make a difference. I hate bringing it to the dealer but don't know what else to do. I'll let you know what they come up with.

I'm about to recharge my ac with AC Pro. But one thing I am trying to find out is why the hvac knob on the right of this panel is running hot, the other 2 are cool, no issues. Of note, I have replaced the old stock plastic with billet steel knobs. I looked at it and so did a local shop I trust in the area. And we both saw no melting of the switch or anything else. It's been a head scratcher for months. What worries me after I recharge the system with freon, I have a long drive ahead of me that requires air conditioning in this summer heat, and this knob is going to be getting hot. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
@Donnysjeepadventures Жыл бұрын
My guess is that the resistor pack is going out but not toast yet. You should be able to ohm across it to verify, though I'm not sure what the reading should be. Could prolly find it online. Does it run hot if you keep it on setting 3? If not that would be a good sign. Just me, but if it's a long trip just replace the Blower and coil for peace of mind, as they are cheap parts. Again this is a guess, just makes sense to me. Don't hate me if I'm wrong lol.
@JeepTJWheelin Жыл бұрын
@@Donnysjeepadventures I noticed the far right knob running hot when I had just the defrost on several months ago with just the ambient air circling through. But this was for at least 2 hours straight. And periodically was switching between the 2nd and 3rd fan settings. Never 1 or 4.
@Donnysjeepadventures Жыл бұрын
@JeepTJWheelin could try a clamp on amp meter to check draw. This circuit only goes to the fan so something is pulling to much current. In theory it could be a small internal short but there is no good way to diagnose that. Blower is now the logical candidate, not pack. Think it's only like 15 bucks.
