In the 90s, at least in Cali, JB glass was the only choice for a balling Stoner.

We were surprised and saddened to lose Walter recently. He was talented, a good friend and I will never forget the demos in his smoky basement and wonderful ice cream sundaes in his garden...😢

Beautiful but what I don't understand is when I get all these little pieces of gold in multicolor crystals and Stones and so forth to apply to my beads now especially like gold flaking. I love the rub and buff and the liquid gold and silver krylon pens. My question is am I supposed to brush the gold flakes on with water? What kind of glue is the best to use I make a mess of all kinds of different glues and it's a pain to have to glue tiny particles onto my filigrees or beads is there another way or please let me know the easiest cleanest way to apply glue if I have to

As he started to make devils in the late nineties...it was quite schocking for the inhabitants of Lauscha. He wasnt the mainstream glas blower/ glass artist. Why I say that .. My family is from Lauscha and most of them work with glass ... I m really surprised that I found this channnel ..

Am currently taking a glass figure class with Dr. Julie Denton of Atelier 315 Designs out of Zurich. I now have a real appreciation for John's work with devils. The fact that he uses soft glass (Lauscha, of course) makes his devils even more awe-inspiring!

As I was replying to Torch Talk, I looked at the original description from way back when and saw that there I referred to an interview hosted at an old website which has not been mine for years, and unfortunately a porn site took that name!! Meanwhile, you CAN access the original interview, "Mickelsen on Creativity" at hwcdn.libsyn.com/p/6/9/d/69db5c61d8b0c723/Mickelsen_on_Creativity__Our_First_Video_Podcast.mp4?c_id=2393443&cs_id=2393443&destination_id=30647&expiration=1572904850&hwt=7b7029e4381efe8a7cecc6fe9ca82967 So enjoy it there!!! :)

It depends on which soft glass! And how well you understand your heat...This is LAUSCHA glass, which tends to be a little bit stiffer than some other soft glasses, and makes it perfect for sculpting. If you work with boro, you can see by comparison what a wonderfully long working time this glass has. I love the way you can create those delicious curves for the tail feathers!
