Great song. I had already left Ireland at that time as did thousands and thousands of my peers. Not enough is written or spoken about the young Irish men and women who left Ireland in the ‘80s

Relatable.. change the words to "he joined the Army back in 2004" , plenty of our boys didn't make it back.

Does anyone know where the video was shot? It looks like Isle of Dogs/Millwall to me?

Would it be nice if JT released an album with his wife, Starleana Young? She was a singer from the groups Aurra, Deja, & Slave.

The editor for the music video goes to great lengths to not show the black bass player. I don't care either way, I just thought it was interesting.

I've been searching for this song for years. Long story short this cassette single was inside of a boombox that my parents bought at a junk auction one night and because I was 11 years old I was not allowed to keep the tape because my mom said it sounded filthy. I can't remember what made me think of this song here recently but I can't believe I finally found it. I kind of almost thought it was a figment of my imagination as a child. Because no one I've ever talked to seems to know anything about this song..

The pretty and enematic Patty Donahue was a naughty little girl who MADE the band and who DESTROYED it as well. She smoked too many cigarettes from here in North Carolina and then died a slow, painful death. We love Patty down here and along with billions of others over the centuries, she helped make money for the NC tax base.
