Question: I’m trying to work on leggings, I know the material is different but it’s a bit of an emergency lol my question is, is it normal for the flared bottoms to not line up properly on the original seam? What I mean by that is, when I was placing my pins to go straight down following the OG seam, I had extra fabric bunching in the middle because I was trying to line up my fabric following the OG seam according to the steps given at 2:09 ….

My pads are triangle shaped. Any advice on how to position them?
@CraftersGroveАй бұрын
Assuming your bathing suit is shaped somewhat like the one in the video, the point would go up to wards the top like this: 🔺. However, without seeing both the pad and bathing suit in person I cannot say for certain. Some clear giveaways are thicker padding or curving. Thicker padding would rest underneath the breast to help lift. The curvature would follow the natural curvature of the average breast. I hope this helps! Happy crafting!

Beautiful work ok you mentioned the bobbin being in thd right way but also when pinning have the points of the pins pointing upwards instead of downward.. its so much easier when your sewing its a smoother project and less likely to get the pin tramped under the presser foot.

The Dumond plastic wrap to help the paint stripper not dry out, can be substituted with normal plastic wrap such as Saran wrap. 🤓🤫 👍

Wow!! That is the most gorgeous front door! I am working on my 1800’s French doors that someone painted white and I will have to try peel away, they have sooo many nooks with each window. And the trick with the glass is amazing! I will have to try it on my front door glass also. Thank you for sharing! ❤

How did you end up finishing this door? We are about to move into a farmhouse built in 1909 and they’ve painted over all the solid wood doors and I want to restore them! Do you have a video showing how you dealt with the discoloration on the wood door? Thank you! 😊
@CraftersGrove Жыл бұрын
Congratulations on the new, old house! Old houses are so wonderfully rich in detail and have so much more life to them. We are still in the process of finishing the door. Renovations are on a pause right now as we recently welcomed our first child into our home. However, we are going to paint the door and is why we went this route. We are not certain about how to, or if it is possible to remove the leftover discolouration. We have heard of wood bleach which may work but I worry with the patchiness of discolouration the wood bleach would be tricky to even out the tones. Doing another round of paint remover may also fix the issue. However, a safer bet, if you want to stain rather than paint, is to use a heat gun to remove the paint. We plan to make a video in the future for this technique, but there are other how-to videos out there right now from other channels. Good luck with the process and enjoy your new home! We would love an update in the future to hear how you make out. 😃
