I bought a 47 square meter room close to 3rd road and the big C extra for 850k baht. Older building, lots of Thai neighbors and no pool. The building is built like a bomb shelter and away from noise at night. During the weekedays Thai school children from a nearby private school sing songs in english. 7-11 downstairs, 5 minute walk to big C and 800 meters from a fancy gym and McDonalds.

Have to STOP calling a studio a “one bedroom”. It’s clearly a studio. A one bedroom requires 4 walls surrounding said bed not 2 or 3. If it doesn’t have a door, it’s a studio.

Gorgeous house, but in some parts too austere for me- like the dining room chairs and bench- my poor bottom without any pillows! Also, don't sit in that chair next to the pool (with the umbrella) in your swimming trunks, unless you like interesting red stripes on your back side. Nice comfy hotel slippers though. Good sized condos! But for the second one, I wonder what is planned for that grassy part in the shape of yet another condominium. That would ruin the sea view for sure, plus lots of noise while they build it.

I would never buy a place in Thailand, at least in Pattaya or Phuket because once you buy a place you never know who will be living next to you or God forbid above you. You will find that is an unwinnable situation because unfortunately in some places of the world where people live and decide to move to Thailand they bring their uncaring manners with them and deny all wrong doing. Accusing them of being noisy just seems to fuel their fire and there is really nothing you can do about it unless you can somehow get some kind of legal entity on your side from the Thai authority to persuade the noisy occupant into normalcy, but that is the key word "normalcy" and you cant make abnormalcy into normalcy when normalcy is abnormalcy in their opinions. My advice is to rent for 6 months first or as long as you can to scout it out. Dont get buggered out of your hard earned money.
