Max Tip when siliconing**** Never use tape! You’re creating a gap that will either have an opening all the way through or pocket for water and mold to start. (Even anti mold does mold) Just apply a line at a time, better for extra then not enough, then spray (detergent & water mixed in a spray bottle ) doesn’t have to be to soapy, then spray a icypole stick , then wipe excess with it, icypole sticks they work best, or tools you can buy but I caulk everyday for work, icypole is best. Wipe onto paper towel and keep going. Really easy with soapy water and icypole makes its look so smooth Good luck

I know this comment comes in late to the party Max, but if you see this one just so you know.. Copper work hardens over time, but you can soften it considerably by emptying the water from the pipe and heating it with a propane torch. It will remain soft for a long while, even very long after fully cooled. That makes the pipe easier to incrementally adjust.. But be careful not to bend it too vigorously, or it will kink badly on you; use just very gentle pressure which ever way you choose. The kinking problem it's quite profound, but with time from normal hydraulic flexing, it will get much stiffer again, just like normal (it might take a year or so though - but the pipe will be fine like that if left alone, once youre finished bending). It's a funny thing about copper; its crystalline molecular structure makes it like that unlike other metals.

I've loved been part of your journey and following along ever since you only had a van, the time when you were getting ready for work as paramedic from your van, all those cool travels to wonderful Aussie destinations, looking at properties, excited for you and felt your joy when you got the call 'you got the property', and all the way threw every part of those great designs, the time when you got all the 'tools', and van-decking/ shower installed outside, garden area to pathway and shack reno's, verandah, now look at what you've achieved.. it has been so inspiring to watch you do jobs you've never done before... I love the bathroom you've created, and agree with the smaller tiles help create a rustic style, love the brass ware too.. look forward to the next part, extension with a view 😃
