I walked across the swing bridge today. Not sure if it is able to swing or not.

Do you have an Anki file upload for this?
@boshdmg2 жыл бұрын
I mean the deck can be exported from Anki, like any deck if that is what you mean? But it's not that great it's just something I made myself over a few years. From what I have read its best to make your own cards.

The bridge rarely opens for ships since the coal staithes closed at Dunston 40 years ago and most shipping dried up on this part of the Tyne. I think this ship is a ferry used for leisure trips to Wylam.

This is why alligators attack people. They have a natural fear of humans, and by feeding and handling them, you are causing a creature with the size and strength to maim or kill a person to lose that natural aversion.

Open: Center pin goes up, releases bridge. Jacks go down, lift up bridge. Wedges are retracted and jacks go back up. Bridge swings open... bridge swings close, center pin goes down, locking bridge in place. Jacks go down, lift up bridge, wedges are inserted. Jacks retract, settling the bridge back on it's base.

Well captured mate! I don't live that far away and spend alot of time down on the river but never once seen it open! As I understand at the moment, its not actually working. I'd love to see how the whole thing works and what controls are used to pivot the bridge. Are tours available, or (like most things these days) does Health & Safety not permit it anymore?
