I really love Rayman 3. It goes super hard with the "contrast" in narrative that it was a thrill thorough the game. This main theme and the box art just makes everything seems like it's gonna be like Rayman 2, but then the game start unfolding and it's so silly and fun. Then I don't need to mention the whiplash that was the Swamp => Land of Livid Dead => Knaaren Desert... It subverted expectations just by the names and setting alone.

The nostalgia is strong with this one, good old times 🥲

Meanwhile, in the Pirate Prison Ship: Razorbeard: "Who dares disturb me?" Spyglass Pirate: "Sir, it's been 20 years and still no Rayman 4..." Razorbeard: "WHAT!?! Masterful...

It never ceases to give me goosebumps how the beat intensifies once Rayman gains control of the Hoodstomper. Feels like you’re in control of everything, with the power to squash the army of hoodlums like bugs. I admire this game so much for just organically having that wacky edge that many games of this era strived for by just being itself through and through.

There I was, waitring for the music to kick in and it never did. Youu are evil hahahh
