well.. the uk has 8 gig connections that arent expensive andthat isp is now deploying 50G-PON. If you think how hard it is to add ethernet to some homes, going cat 8 is not overkill

You could achieve 40gbps on your local network, so if you have a NAS or something like that you could transfer locally from your PC to your NAS at greater speed. However, you would need all the equipment for that: Port on PC and NAS that support those speed and Switch that can support it too. The majority of users don't need that, and if you need it you'll probably use SFP+/QSFP+ Dac cables or fiber optics. So I thinkg Cat 8 is more for marketing than anything. Cat6/Cat6a is really good for the majority of users

Most of the time, high-speed network connections like that are mostly for internal stuff (e.g. transferring files from one device to another on the same network). I understand where you're coming from but this cable is not for fast internet speeds, only fast network speeds.

No, it’s not only for Viking. If you see in the ending the picture. You see the Clothing material and on the top were it connects with the hood. That’s a hard Plastic material There’s a little gap almost like a slit in between. Most hoods don don’t have a thick wall at the top, so technically it should be pretty universal. I have another one that I use on a Jackson.

They need more inside padding too. You can definitely hear everything.

Yes it great for small things. I would say look for it on Best Buy. I think they were having a special on the the model, or on Harbor freight with a coupon and you can probably get it down too
