"Hey! Yeah, I hope the track sounds similar to his! Since the label it was released on has a good network of DJs who play progressive, I wanted to try making this genre for once. Since it's a genre I don't know very well, I took inspiration from Aurosonic, an artist whose sound I really admire and listen to a lot! (He's really good!). I'm so glad you like it, even though it's a different sound from my usual one. I had a lot of fun, but now I'm going back to uplifting, which is my home. Hi K, I think the reason you're hearing similarities is that we're all using the same compositional techniques. I listened to the track you mentioned, and the vocal melody is completely different, so I assume you're referring to the synthesizer part in the drop. In this case, both I and the composer of your track (Speed) used a very common Western chord progression (VI-IV-I-V) and a technique called pivoting on the chord tone. The resulting sound from using these two techniques together is very similar (though not identical), and it certainly wasn't intentional. If you noticed these details, it means you've listened to my music very carefully, and I really appreciate that! So thank you so much!!! 😃😃😃
