This band was a favorite of someone who was once special to me. This song is particularly rough for someone who gets consistently rejected by love... 45 and single is no place to end up, folks.

This song is decades old and i thought nothing of this song when i first heard it as a kid. Sounded pretty average. But i used to think it was about the September 11th and the war in Iraq, not only because of the lyrics but because of the music video. I rediscovered this song again in the last year or so. It's so touching for me. I even breathe more gently when the music plays. Ive never lost a love one in my life, but i can relate to simply wanting to grieve and go through despair. I really like how this song mutiple meanings. Originally inspired by the death of his father, it also reminds a lot of people of the attacks on September 11th.
