yes, this car came out when I was 13 years old, it was very scarce to see. later years I worked on lots of 50 s cars and never got one of these in the shop.

It actually didn't. This was a concept car. However, the taillight treatment was a precursor to the Mercury Turnpike Cruiser production car of a year later.
