You could probably register it in NM, an alignment shop sold my friend a ford focus for $500 that was from Florida with no registration, no plates, pretty much the same situation, was about a 5 month process and a background check and he was able to register it.

Tube chasis the s13 all the way to the firewall, change the dash and try and register it in sc. That's what everybody in nc does. Sc doesn't have any sort of vehicle inspection. I'm pretty sure all you have to do around here is go to the dmv and apply for a new title for a custom built car/kit car. It kinda goes off the same system as registering a home built trailer

Hey, just saying that’s most likely not all manual top. They probably pulled a handle that’s underneath the bench seat on the driver side which would cause the emergency release of the motors for the top. The motors are in the trunk on the driver side. You will see it behind the trunk trim cover I swear I did it on accident my 1994 BMW. Also you will have to partially lift up on the front lip of the convertible top. You have to release that handle on the roof and push up the top as you are pushing the button for putting the top back
