White Christmas touched a lot of people especially the military.

Now this is films that are worth watching compared to the woke crap they push down our throats these days.

You don't have to be general to feel unappreciated. We enlisted got that all of the time!

Bing Crosby was on of the phoniest people in show business as well as being a cruel inflexible father!!! But he always went to church but didn't practice whet the church preached!!!

I never served in the Armed Forces, but, this scene makes me feel like I did!

Just so we’re clear - I am a pacifist, I believe in disbanding and disarming all armed forces, and I’m staunchly anti-imperialist and all that entails for the armies… But I ALWAYS sing along to this, and salute when they salute to this general. Because this scene is what truly makes it a Christmas movie.

Once upon a time not so long ago, if you call about 45 years ago, not so long ago, I had a photo album that was filled with posters that I had gotten from the guy who puts the posters up in a small theater movie theater that was in the town in which I lived One of those posters was an original for this movie. He was the person who gave it to me was one of the people responsible for creating posters for the military to have when these movies would be moved on and some of it would go back and they would use it for all the places that we’re going to show the movie they have to do with what was the best. One of all the posters that came out of Hollywood were considered good enough for advertising you know advertising to the public to come see the movie so up until the early 70s the thing was if you were a member of, for example united artists you would make your version of the poster and it would go with the film till it went. You know finished it rounds with the military went back to Hollywood and Hollywood would decide if the poster was good enough for making as the main poster to be shown everywhere else you see the military often got What you would call the sneak preview or the sneak peek before everybody else got to see the movie I had one of these posters. I had a few of them, but this poster particular, which was he told me was rare. My mom threw it in all the other posters he had given me out because she wanted my Photo album to put her pictures in if she hadn’t done that I’d be very rich today some of the posters I had were originals just like the one for this.

I've always said there are three types of officers (this applies to NCOs also) the first type are the ones you follow just because you raised your right hand and swore an oath. The second type are the one you follow just because you want to see what this idiot is going to do next, but the third type are the ones you respect beyond words and would follow to hell and back. Retired E8 Infantry. There were times I felt like one or two, but the proudest moments were when my Soldiers told me basically, I was the third type. I had some damn good Soldiers.

What do you do with a General when he stops being a General? He gets a job with a defense contractor! I used to work in just such a facility, where we had 4 retired generals my boss was a Colonel, ( we had a slew of them) most of the supervisors were at least a Major or a Captain and a lot of the engineers were former Lieutenants, while some of the production workers were former Sergeants! And my own Nephew, a Commander in the Navy Reserves, is an Engineer with a large Military Research and Development firm.

When all your soldier father and grandfathers have passed away, the true lesson of this video becomes even harder to understand: The closer you get to death, the more you see the beauty, innocence and righteousness of the simple things in life. Family, fraternity, and country.
