Some catchers were neck flaps under the mask. But it is not mandatory in baseball. That makes no sense.

When someone is hit on the torso and begins to collapse protocol in base should be to let him come to the ground and get a stretcher to carry him out. His team mates are just pulling him putting more pressure on a possible fracture. How could they not realize they should not do that. It's common sense.

Exactly. When Giancarlo Stanton was hit in the face and dropped to the ground, they brought out a stretcher and carried him out on a cart. A strike to the chest and above where you can't walk on your own should get a stretcher and cart, then straight to a hospital.

That was scary. Looks like he was possibly hit on the side of the neck where the vagus nerve runs through.... which I believe can cause a irregular heartbeat.
