Hi M. Joseph! I appreciate your nice and instructive video! I'm interested to get some fruits of the giant bamboo to plant it in my forest of bamboos! Unfortunately, I live in Ivory Coast, West Africa! That's the reason I would like the fruits instead of the branches or roots. I also know that bamboo flourishes every 7 years. So, please I beg you to help me introduce this type in my country! Thanks s lot to answer me! M. Koffi

I liked this video very much. However I am unable to hear clear the pronunciation of the variety of the bamboo referred to as Herosi Bamboo. Can anyone tell me correct spelling of this species and also the source to get the seeds of this particular variety which seems to be extremely useful
@islandeyesvideo5 жыл бұрын
Hirose, it is named after the family that planted it here. The species is un-named officially. It has never seeded and propagation is by root division, and cuttings with a little more difficulty. It is reported to be a bamboo from China.

Nice development of the building with bamboo... Just wondering why you chose metal for the joinery... Seems like if you're going to go to the trouble to recommend bamboo for building you'd make it work for its own joints. Why not try to use the thinner-walled bamboo for joining? Won't last long enough?

Those structures are beautiful for Hawaii. Keep creating and teaching With bamboo. I love furniture made with bamboo. You could make a good business making a couple styles of baby cribs and changing tables and dressers. I saw a KZbin video of A love seat and chairs and tables That were gorgeous. If anyone could help me make a unique little bungalow On a friendly island where I could plant some cashews, dragonfruit, pecans, cacao, plantains and maybe a couple coffee bushes let me know. I had my heart set on Tulum Mexico Or Belize if I had a business partner. Maybe the British Government would Let me plant bamboo somewhere in the jungle. But I am open to pacific islands like Hawaii if I found A compatible business partner. I will help promote bamboo and all the unique structures that can be built with it.

The saw that you mentioned, I tried to find one using what you sounded to call it "bando saw" but all I find are band saws! LOL... Any tips on how to find one is much appreciated as I now just planted 9 varieties of bamboo on my property...
@islandeyesvideo8 жыл бұрын
Garden Exchange in Hilo carried the bando saw but it has been replaced with the rhino saw that you can get from them.
