Great running and train, first off. Layout looks great and I like the plans, including the removable bridge to access the points as needed. The other development plans sound great- terrain and lights. The pantographs were interesting. My German stuff is all spring-loaded, so you set the height of the catenary, and the pantographs rise to it. I look forward to seeing where you go with it!

Thanks 🙂 Some of the older Farish were spring loaded, however the posable ones I find are better for N gauge. I have a little height setting gauge to set the height so I don't smash the OHLE. as for where I am going, I have a vague idea of what I want it to look like. Its a little restrictive being a single track setup but that comes due to the dimensions of the board but the idea is to have 3 scenic areas. The industrial area, station area and town scene, and the rural scene that leads down to the factory

My Dad drove trucks all his working life and his favourite was a Magirus Deutz 232!. His was a bonneted tipper truck rather than the cabover featured here and he drove it in the Shetland islands in the early 80's. Lovely noise with that air-cooled V8, lovely looking truck and, according to him (contrary to what is commented below), a fantastic gearbox.
