The shocks always bad on a yamaha had to change my out to racingboy on back and do a full LCM on the front end to get the ride solid... also tires.. went pirelli diablo rosso... much improved and a must first day you buy one.

I'm riding my 4th XMax now and did 65.000 km. on my last one. It's a great bike, also for long trips. I can put all my luggage under the seat and that's great. I now have the new XMax with Garmin Navigation, that sucks. Bad Bluetooth connection and Garmin maps hardly know anything. Also the double screens are too small. For the rest the bike is still great.

where I live scooters are not that popular at all but I see a 2007 Tmax with 82,000 Kms for 1950 Euro's and a 2009 Burgman with 28,000 Kms for 1900 Euro's and 2017 xmax 300 with 11,000 kms for 3400 Euro's. What do people think would be best ? Interested in the Tmax 500 for the money but fear the high mileage ?

I have a Tmax 500. Very different beast to the smaller Xmax. The engine design is much more complex with two over head cams which are difficult to service and expensive from a maintenance perspective, saying that the Tmax 530 and 560 are not as reliable as the older Tmax 500 due to all the electrical components in them, which in my opinion give intermittent problems which are hard to diagnose, that’s why I bought a new Xmax 300 2024 model. Very simple mechanical design and cheap to run, will never look back!
