That sound is quite normal, it makes that noise so the aircraft can take off (there’s another engine on the port wing that makes a similar noise during takeoff…………..😊

I don't think I have been in an airbus. I don't check the aircraft type every time, but I've never seen anything other than MDs and Boeing. Maybe American airlines just don't buy airbus?
