That dropship leaving her behind felt more personal than practical, she needed like 5 more seconds for god's sake, i get the catapult was right there but still, i think he intentionally murdered her.

Not bad, It could have used more of the cinematic character of the original, like the first missile the Catapult fired at Commander Harris flying above her mech before the killing blow. Despite that, it was a good remake. Once addition I very much liked was the scene of the dropship entering the planet's atmosphere.

Damn fine work here. I do miss the Zeus in there; the OG intro gave it a special place in my heart, and honestly the MWO model for it is a spitting image of the one from the original Merc2 intro. That said, still great work and very much appreciated!

Really good work. I can live with Atlas going down easy and everything, the only problem I really have with this intro is that the Victor is standing *right* next to a dropship taking off and it does absolutely nothing to it. It could have, say, been blown over by the blastoff and the final image could have been the Catapult's foot coming down on its head. Not Ra-ul's fault, obviously.

1:23 = my only question is, why the catapult lrm 20 pods are so tall and why missiles don't come from the entire lengths of the pods.

The pods are so tall because of missile doors. If you look closely they open shortly before the launch.

my brother who's 10 years older than me had this game when i was little. i was about 8 at the time i believe. when he went to college he left this game at the family computer. i would boot it up just to watch this intro. Then I'd pick a random mech and walk through the desert having no idea what the hell i was doing or how to start the actual campaign. I just loved listening to the music and firing rockets into the void. good times

Holly's mech doesn't torso twist in the background behind the commando while moving to engage the atlas at ~ 0:25. 2/10 it's shit

After I used the meta transfer feature my characters head is being stretched wonky during a dropkick animation. I have rendered out a animation for reference kzbin.info/www/bejne/m5OqpKCMhJmAfM0. If you have any advice I'd really appreciate it. Thanks for the awesome tutorial, it really helped me do exactly what I wanted even if I need to still do some tweaking haha. Thanks again.

@@mitchsorrenstein1819 wonky head spiderman rocks 🤘🏻 but let me know when you uploaded your fixed one! Some people using mixamo animations said that not every animation is usable as it has some sort of different bones than usual. So maybe if you try to use another animation which is simpler than the dropkick it might work. But as I am also a beginner I am not really sure if there is a relation between the mixamo animation and its rig being used and the meta transfer feature.

For the mesh data transfer to work properly it is important to have them align perfectly if you use "World" as a sample space. If the meshes are not exactly the same you might try "Raycast" instead of "Closest" in the options. To fix that manually (at any given time), the easiest is probably to go the the Object data properties (green triangle), select the "mixamorig.Head" vertex group, enter weight paint mode and paint everything which should be mapped to the head bone with a weight of 1.

We wander if you can remake the scene from mw3 trailer with the timber wolf and the thor with MWO mech models like how you did with mechwarrior 2 mercenaries 2019 remake so we can put it in our mechwarrior 3 SFX remastered mod for MWO if your down for it! 😀 if you can't remake the scene we can use the smoke looping as well 👍

Lot of comments about the weapons in the vids not matching the meta. Gotta keep it real here folks- watching a 5 min duel between a Zeus/Victor and an Atlas isnt going to work for game intro footage. Even if it wasnt tedious to watch, the file size of such a vid would be gigantic and have consumed a ton of room on the game's CD-Rom. (btw I was the lead tester or MW2:Mercs 3DFX enhancement/multiplayer/dynamic salvage patch bundle ;) )

Thank you sooo much for that tutorial! This is gold! Everything worked out well for my character and I learned so much more while following your tips e.g. how I should prepare my character before uploading to mixamo when following part1. Before I had my model as many mesh parts and first of all needed to learn how to join all to one mesh without texture issues because i guess transferring the mesh data would be a tidious step by step horror when not having your model in one mesh. Anyhow. Big thanks!

Arm swing is a very human motion for balanced running. Wouldn't it look out of place when moving with other mechs without elbow joints? Maybe if you showed a running at top speed while firing weapons.
