I am getting 3000 fps , using 40gr vmax , 13.0 gr Lilgun , cci pistol primer & crimping using lee crimper die , no need for K mod

I'm getting 2986 fps with 13 gr Lil Gun and a 40 gr Nosler Ballistic Tip with a standard case. You must crimp the bullet.

Mines bolt handle became loos over the years and come to find out. The threads on the bolt handle are stripped, hoping someone can help me out because the only thing I can find on these rifles is people reviewing them. No parts I can order or anything.

How many times do you get to use that brass, though? It gets mighty fragile once you start pushing those velocities.

Ya, 3100 fps is what's stated on the box of Hornady 35gr V-Max. I push 40gr Ballistic Tips to 3000fps, which makes the Hornet a legitimate 300 yard rodent gun. This out of my Savage M40.

I skin whole bird out..fillet breast off slice an fry..then i cook back legs thighs a neck in crock pot with heart an gizzard..makes the best broth an sandwich meat..thanks turkey master love your stories

I have the Stevens- 301 In 12 Gauge It is all Black. For a 20 gauge,I just bought a Mossberg 500 with a 20" Barrel. Switch up between the 2. I start in New Jersey on April 25th Turkey Population has been down last few years. Black Bears everywhere. They are protected. I think they find the Turkey Nests. Hopefully more Turkeys in the North Jersey mountain areas. New York seems to have more Turkeys though. Good video today and nice Gobbler there!

I love to Turkey hunt, hunting NC and Ohio this year I did hunt GA but snice gas got so high I passed on it this year. Turkey populations have declined in a lot of states GA reduced their kill from 4 to 2 and Ohio only allows only one Tom this year. I try to feed the hens from January to April on my place so they will lay a good clutch of eggs. Our area is over run with Coons, nobody hunts them anymore and they eat a lot of Turkey eggs. I hope you get a Big Boy!!

Every now and then they show up on Gunbroker. You need to check the headspace with a gauge if you find one.

I ordered a 12 gauge Stevens 301 and am waiting for it to arrive. It is good to see how your sling is mounted on that forearm. I assumed since there was a push button that I would need to attach the sling to the barrel, but looks like there is room for a swivel. Thanks!

Good Luck with that Tripod! I think There will be more Turkey Numbers in North New Jersey this Spring. No Black Bear Hunting in Jersey and ,I think the Bears find the Turkey Nests.

I'm shopping for 12 gauge single shot break action shotguns in serviceable condition. For use with chamber adapters. So far I've got 4 adapters. But the NEF I have is rifled. So I'm in search of even project condition guns

I've been thinking about converting a NEF single shot into a turkey gun. 4D reamer rental rents the cutter and tap for around 55$.

Sir I have both the 20 and 410 and both are very good shooting shotguns love the weight of them plus the red dots work out great on them

I have a question, I’m new to shotguns. I’m 15, and I’ve shot dove loads out of my 20, and I’m trying a turkey load sometime. Is there a big difference? Bc the dove loads has a decent amount of recoil and kicks me pretty good...

@@ethanstrain9806 turkey loads are a bit hotter than dove loads. In 20 ga they typically 3” shells and pack some zip. But sight in with a lead sled then when in the field you’ll never feel it.

30 yrds or better with the tss 9 shot !

9 TSS will kill way further than 30 yards if the pellet count will hold.
