Honestly, I think that is part of the plan in order to prevent most from doing minor maintenance and going to the dealership for these things. If they had made the engine cover as a two piece design and omitted the screws on the inner part of the bulkhead, this wouldn't really have been that hard.

Excellent video thank you. I don’t think there was a single point which I was thinking I will be doing this myself. It helped me greatly to understand why it cost so much to get it done professionally. Thank you.

That was a lot of leaves! I just got a ‘19 CPO Boxster GTS with 15.5k miles about a month ago. Now, I’m wondering if they did a filter clean/replacement. Was yours a CPO or from a private party? Regardless, thanks for sharing the “how to!”

We bought it from a non-Porsche (Lexus) dealership. It was a CPO car prior to us buying it. From what I see on the Carfax report, the car was serviced and inspected by Porsche dealerships 12 times prior to our purchase. From the Carfax, it was serviced every 3,000 miles or so, including the 30,000 mile service at 16,838 miles. It definitely was not done on this particular car. After this, I bought and installed mesh grill inserts from Radiator Grill Store.

Good for you that you are able to do your own servicing.

Thank you. It helps. I do limited things, but anything major or internal to the engine or transmission gets done professionally

I have a question. What is that occasional burst of air sound? I have a base 718 Cayman and mine makes the same sound. It doesn't seem to corelate with a blow off valve for the turbocharger. Not sure if it's the blow off valve or not. Great sounding car!
