Personally I preferred it when Kid Goku’s voice was the same as kid Gohan in the Funimation dub.

I never forgot besides the demons in z in the O.G series kid goku Went to the demon world for a rescue mission and pulled a sword holding open the door to the realm and that the Kamehameha was efficient against them so maybe all ki. 😈

I always liked Stephanie Nadolny doing the role of Kid Goku and Kid/Pre-Teen Gohan. She did an awesome job and still sounds the same after nearly 15 years. I mention Pre-Teen Gohan since he is 10/11 not a teenage yet while many call it teen. The other voice was picky reason I could not watch Kai Dub. I would like if she can still get to voice lines for Sparking Zero.

You are right. The Bam-Endorsi dynamic was more subtle in the webtoon. The anime was more on the nose about it. This is fine though. In a webtoon the author can be subtle because the reader can read at their own pace and can re-read panels. In an anime there is no such thing as re-reading. An anime is a rollercoaster. Once you are in, there is no getting out until the end. An anime needs to ADAPT things. In this case adapting means to be more blunt about it. Actively reading and passively watching are much more different than one might imagine at first glance. Maybe one is distracted on one's phone etc. Anime as a medium needs to make sure that anybody under any circumstance gets the vital information. This is even more true since Season 1 cut the Bam-Endorsy dynamic entirely. Hence the flashback.

This is before Battle of Gods and all of that. Trunks was 8 during the Buu arc and in Daima he is 9. At the start of Super he is 14 and by the events of Superhero/EoZ he is 17/18. So yeah, this show will be pre-Super....which was pre-EoZ... The reason for this was revealed back in 2003. Akira Toriyama alongside Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru (An animator who is known for being 1 to 1 with Toriyama's art, did the character designs for the anime version of the Buu arc, was GT's character designer as well as the one who created SS4, and is now the animation character designer for Daima which is why it looks so much like how Toriyama's modern art was) actually talked on how they didn't want to tell stories of the cast AFTER that point because they were all too old. Nakatsuru is the one who mentioned how if there were going to be more DB stories then they would all have to be in the 10-year gap after the Buu arc but BEFORE Goku leaves with Uub, which Toriyama agreed. So yeah, if you ever wonder why we don't get any canon stories set after Goku leaving with Uub, that's why. Toriyama flat out just never liked the idea and felt like doing stories set prior were better.
