It’s very impressive. I assume you’ll be skipping Lionel’s version?

Awesome video. Really neat to see someone walk the bridge area. The bridge operator still is in RU, they have the duty of dispatching maintenance crews, MOW, ETC. to where needed, along with having control of the bridge itself.

Incredible looking layout! Cannot wait to see the finished result! However, I do have one question. What NKP specific details are you going to add?
@marslightmodeling175311 ай бұрын
I guess what I meant by that was more general railroad-y details like line poles, relay cabinets, water plugs, tell tales, etc. Not really NKP specific but will help to build the general feel of the location and era I’m trying to capture

Ever heard the saying “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure”?Just because you can’t perceive the value of quality modeling and weathering. Doesn’t mean the value is ruined, in my personal experience you can take a $25 boxcar do a quality weathering job and it’s worth $85 plus. If you don’t like weathering and custom work then don’t bother watching the video.

Good work on this and thank you for taking the time to take us through each step. You can tell you have done this long enough that you make it look easy. As you stated at the end of the video, maybe next time you can give us a more demonstrative video. I know that can interfere with being a in a zone but if you just record a small part at the beginning of each step that would provide enough information. Keep up the good work and I will definitely be trying my hand at this.
@marslightmodeling1753 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. Like anything it does take practice but the technique is really simple and I think it’s far easier than using an airbrush with more textured results reflective of the real thing. Perhaps a third weathering video will be in suit!

@@marslightmodeling1753 Understandable, and even if you make a mistake somewhere that can easily just be added on to the weathering lol.
